Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the respective collection team and ensure maximum efficiency and productivity of team members;
∎ Manage account receivables properly by minimizing net credit losses of the current portfolio and maximizing recoveries;
∎ Apply various collection actions on consumer banking asset portfolio within budgetary limits;
∎ Implement adaptive control system into collections and develop performance and risk-based collections culture;
∎ Control forward flow rates and ensure maximum backward flow and regularization of delinquent loans;
∎ Deliver service levels within acceptable ranges, including customer service, especially at the early stage of delinquencies;
∎ Develop and maintain easy-to-implement yet challenging incentive programs for collectors that have to be tactical and long-term;
∎ Manage external recovery agency; lay down policies relating to external agency management - recruitment to termination, remuneration/commission policies for external agencies.
∎ Continuously acquire and enhance knowledge of business/product strategies, reporting tools, technical processes, and advanced analytical tools/methodologies to provide coaching to direct reports;
∎ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports of retail collection results for senior management and other stakeholders within the retail business;
∎ Closely monitor operational KPIs to ensure consistency in execution and trends;
∎ Lead automation of reports to increase productivity, efficiency, and accuracy of MIS, ensuring business stakeholders are minimizing time spent on repetitive or manual tasks;
∎ Effectively manage and prioritize multiple collections-related initiatives, campaigns, projects, and ad-hoc reporting needs with retail collections.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 5-8 years of experience in the banking sector (retail banking- loan and credit card) will be preferred, including managerial experience in a high-volume collection/recovery environment;
∎ Must possess analytical and data-driven decision-making skills;
∎ Must have strong interpersonal communication skills;
∎ Effective written and verbal communication in English;
∎ Negotiation skills, leadership, and influencing skills;
∎ Be a customer-centric, self-propelled team player and capable of meeting deadlines.
