Experience: Candidates having experience in toiletries manufacturing will be preferred.
Functional/Technical Competencies: Strong knowledge of emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, active ingredients, and formulation chemistry.
Leadership Behavioral Competencies: Experience in managing lab teams, R&D timelines, and working with manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities & Context:
Lead the formulation and development of cosmetic (skin, hair, personal care) and detergent (liquid, powder, bar) products.
Supervise and guide R&D lab staff in daily formulation, testing, and product optimization activities.
Manage multiple product development projects from concept through to commercialization.
Conduct stability studies, performance testing, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, quality assurance, and procurement to align on product specifications and timelines.
Stay updated with market trends, raw materials, and emerging technologies relevant to cosmetics and detergent industries.
Collaborate with raw material suppliers and third-party labs for trials, ingredient validation, and certifications.
Develop technical documentation including product dossiers, SOPs, and test reports.
Maintain proper records for regulatory and audit purposes (e.g., ISO, GMP).
Familiarity with international standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO, FDA, REACH, IFRA).
Support troubleshooting during scale-up and production transfers.
