Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Opportunity:
∎ The major role of this position is to manage and implement the Suchana project in collaboration with government actors and other stakeholders in Moulvibazar district. S/he will be responsible for providing day to day managerial and administrative support, as well as strategic guidance to the district implementation team for ensuring efficient, effective and coherent delivery of a set of nutrition specific and nutrition sensitive interventions with and through existing government systems. S/he will also be responsible for ensuring coordination between technical partners, implementing partners and other external stakeholders, particularly government and local actors. S/he will review program implementation plan and budget variance analysis monthly and quarterly basis. S/he will also advocate with GoB stakeholders in coordination with Sr. Manager-Consortium and Deputy Director.
∎ Day to day supervision and management of implementing partners and producing high quality reports for both internal and external stakeholders will be integral parts of his/her responsibilities. Under the technical leadership of Senior Manager-Livelihoods, in addition to the above, s/he will also be responsible for overall planning and implementation of Livelihoods interventions for Moulvibazar district including coordination with the Technical and Implementing Partners as and when require.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 6 years' experience in program/project management, including 3 years in management position
∎ Experience in managing multi-sectoral food security, health/nutrition and/or livelihood project will be an added advantage.
∎ Broader understanding about the causes and consequences of under-nutrition among women, children and adolescent girls
∎ Basic understanding on the challenges related to implementation of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions.
∎ Strong coordination and partnership management skills with aptitude to work independently, delegate, and deliver results.
∎ Experience of multi-tasking and working under tremendous pressure
∎ Experience of dealing with multiple partners and managing and supervising a large interdisciplinary team.
∎ Proficient in MS Office package
∎ Excellent written skills both in English and Bangla.
