Responsibilities & Context:
Make daily & weekly production schedule to ensure delivery against auxiliary plans.
Allocate resources efficiently, including manpower loading as per production plan, to ensure optimal workflow and minimal bottlenecks.
Plan and assign manpower based on shift requirements and production targets.
Monitor attendance, productivity, and overtime; ensure workforce availability during peak operations.
Supervise and ensure smooth operation of daily production activities.
Monitor machine efficiency, troubleshoot process issues, and reduce production downtime.
Ensure all operations adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Ensure consistent product quality that meets internal and customer standards.
Work closely with the QA/QC team for inspection, testing, and addressing quality deviations.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Enforce plant safety protocols, including use of PPE and emergency preparedness.
Promote a safety-first culture within the production team.
Maintain accurate records of raw material, GIP, and finished goods.
Minimize material wastage and monitor scrap/rejection levels.
Conduct half-yearly and annual physical inventory counts in coordination with the audit team.
Conduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and team engagement initiatives.
Monitor production costs, energy usage, labor productivity as per SPM, and make salary sheets.
Drive initiatives to reduce production waste and increase PPH.
Drive savings projects to ensure manipulation gain or stock reduction.
Drive innovation to improve process & technology.
Monitor plant scrap generation and consumption trends.
Maintain daily production reports, downtime logs, and quality reports.
Maintain batch records, shift handover notes, and process documentation.
Identify bottlenecks and drive productivity improvement projects.
Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and HR for smooth operations.
