∎ The overall objective of the PLEASE project is to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste pollution in Cox`s Bazar through the development of a comprehensive and sustainable waste management pathway. In the long-term waste management strategy this project is designed to integrate a multifaceted systems change initiative in Cox`s Bazar and support the municipality for a robust waste management ecosystem. This will be achieved through a systematic and coherent approach by increasing the engagement of relevant stakeholders as well as the capacity and connection of the waste management value chain actors.
∎ JOB PURPOSE: The Manager, Monitoring, MIS, Project Support, and Reporting is responsible for the design, management, and implementation of plan and systems to ensure quality monitoring and reporting of the project. developing and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks for the project as well as formulation of and lead the overall learning and knowledge management strategy. S/he will also provide overall support for coordination with the project advisory team for effective implementation of the project in line with approved objectives.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop/review the M&E frameworks and plans, define project indicators, prepare tools and collect monitoring data in consultation with the project manager and the team.
∎ Design and implement a monitoring mechanism to check and ensure the timely implementation of all activities including development of performance indicators and success criteria.
∎ Collaborate with programme M&E unit to support in carrying out the project evaluations
∎ Manage collection of project monitoring data such as budgets, reports, datasets, and the like. Provide basic analytical support for monitoring data.
∎ Follow up on the implementation of evaluation recommendations, ensuring the optimal use of evaluations findings by leading in the preparation of timely management responses as required.
∎ Contribute to building the capacity of other team members to ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of the projects.
∎ Prepare presentations and briefings including performance monitoring charts and tables on all the results achieved by the projects, or as deemed necessary for internal or donor reporting.
∎ Keep updated the risks log on a regular basis and ensure the timely implementation of mitigation measures.
∎ Timely preparation of technical assessment, progress and final report as per agreed deliverables.
∎ Ensure and encourage use of monitoring data and outcomes for project implementation and decision-making processes.
∎ Develop the project and knowledge management strategy and action plan with support from the Project Manager, and other relevant staff.
∎ Identify and formulate lessons learned and recommendations to be integrated into broader knowledge management efforts.
∎ Plan and facilitate knowledge sharing and learning sessions for BRAC and coordinate with the external expertise if required.
∎ Support Project Manager in arranging periodic coordination meetings with the Project Advisory Committee.
∎ Support project team in providing real-time information on project progress for Project Advisory Committee, and preparing management response as necessary.
