Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep of all garments sewing machines and mechanical machinery to maintain optimum performance.
∎ Team Supervision: Monitor and guide the maintenance team, ensuring timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
∎ Preventive Maintenance: Implement maintenance policies and procedures; develop and manage a comprehensive planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedule.
∎ Performance Optimization: Optimize equipment operation following standard procedures to enhance productivity and product quality.
∎ Delegation & Problem-Solving: Strategically delegate tasks within the team; perform root cause analyses and resolve technical issues promptly.
∎ Data Management: Oversee the storage and management of equipment data, maintaining high levels of accuracy and record integrity.
∎ Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments of maintenance processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
∎ Reporting: Prepare detailed maintenance reports for management and recommend process improvements.
∎ Team Training: Train and mentor team members, ensuring they are well-versed in maintenance procedures and safety standards.
∎ Educational Background: Minimum HSC/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
∎ Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the garments or manufacturing sector.
∎ Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance management.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee the maintenance of garments sewing machines and related mechanical equipment for a Japanese Multinational Garments situated at Ishwardi EPZ, Pabna.
∎ The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing preventive maintenance, optimizing machinery performance, and leading a dedicated maintenance team in a dynamic production environment.
