• Pro-active, energetic and career oriented.
• Excellent communications skills both in written and speaking in English.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Good computer skills; Microsoft office, Mailing.

• Responsible to ensure the supply of all machinery and attachment before feeding the line by monitoring machine layouts, machine requirement plans and output plans.

• Responsible to achieve the sectional target/KPI.

• Responsible to ensure the preventive & breakdown maintenance of all respective machinery equipment; providing technical advice to the mechanical team and ensuring that all respective machinery is maintained at the required standards.

• Maintain the vendor compliance as per the customers, BEPZA & other local authorities.

• Responsible to ensure the entire health & safety requirement as per the company policy.

• Needle procedure has to be followed strictly.

• Analyzing to see how improvements could be made to machinery and attachments, and subsequently liaising with the team members to ensure that required modifications are made.

• Managing and monitoring all mechanical issues pertaining to sewing floor operations. Ensuring that safety procedures are adhered to ISO, buyer’s compliance, 5S practice and any other international standards adopted by the company.

• Responsible to ensure the maintenance schedule/plan/procedure/standard/checklist/records etc.

• Provides input into the development of the operating budget for the assigned area of responsibility; orders materials and supplies; assists in the monitoring and tracking of expenditures for the section.

• Coordinates section activities with other sections, programs and departments, including scheduling and resolving problems; coordinates and inspects work performed by contractors.

• Ensures that safety training is provided to staff and that proper safety practices are followed.

• Responds to emergencies as requested; coordinates activities with other responders; directs the work of staff and utilization of resources to effect repair and ensure the safety of the community.

• Maintain the machine inventory

• Maintain the required service level on supplying machinery & equipment.

• Monitors and participates in operations in assigned sections including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, negotiating prices and inspecting contractor’s work to ensure that safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed.

• Any duties & responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time, as deemed necessary.

• Ensure health and safety, cleanliness procedures are maintained at all times and any behaviors of subordinates that could effect the H&S risks are necessary.

• Ensure aspects that have impact to the environment by your processes is identified and reviews to meet with environmental objectives of the organization.
