In-depth understanding of operational issues and policy work at national and international levels. 

Practical experience on budget preparation, variance analysis and implementation of budget. 

Experience in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Tax, VAT, Treasury & Banking.

Internal control system initialization.

Development & implementation.

Enterprise risk assessment and management



Responsibilities & Context:

About the Project:

The project, "Formalization of Plastic Recycling Value Chain by forming Recycling Business Units in Bangladesh," is part of the South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP) under the Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia (PLEASE) initiative. It aims to reduce plastic waste by establishing Recycling Business Units (RBUs) across Bangladesh.

Job Description:

  • The candidate will be responsible to controlling, monitoring, supervising, and giving advice on day-to-day Accounts activity, reporting to the management. Maintain the financial compliance in order to establish the financial discipline of the Company.
  • To prepare and implement the monthly payments received or income & expenditure budget of the company.
  • To prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows)
  • Review the cash flow requirement to ensure sufficient funds are available for operation.
  • To develop and update the internal financial operation policy and procedures.
  • Produce periodic financial statements and reports for the management prepared in line with guidance and standards.
  • To update and improve accounting system that satisfies the statutory and management information needs.
  • Team management, supervising and controlling all related daily works of the Accounts and Finance Department.
  • Handle local bank transactions and prepare weekly/monthly bank reconciliation statement and take corrective action of any pending reconciling item.
  • Ensure compliance of tax rules, the tax returns are submitted on time and assessment processes are completed/Updated.
  • Supervise fixed assets, inventories, receivable, payable and general accounting functions.
  • To ensure payment to all stake holders made with proper authorized documents with due compliance with all regulatory requirements including withholding tax/VAT.
  • Order wise cost analysis.
  • Dealing with tax authority and ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Any other assignment as entrusted time to time by the Management.
