∎ JOB PURPOSE: To support communications in positioning BRAC`s microfinance programme as one of the leading providers of microfinance in the world in terms of scale and impact, quality and innovation of products, client-centric design, customer service and client protection, and provision of financial services for excluded groups.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conceptualise and produce content such as articles, case studies, factsheets, research briefs, and digital content for internal and external use; managing materials and information resources such as presentations for external visitors
∎ Establish and maintain strategic relationships with peers, internal and external stakeholders
∎ Support programme team members with writing, editorial support and establish linkage with other support units
∎ Establish and support programme's external and internal communication needs as required
∎ Ensure agreed programme communication strategy and key messages are met and are consistent with BRAC's core values and central communications policies
∎ Stakeholder management, project management, and coordination
∎ Actively participate in different Forum and facilitate cross programme collaboration and learning.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Quantitative and qualitative research methods; fluent English, fluent Bangla preferred, relationship building, project management, event management, social media, public speaking, creative writing, blogging, editorial writing, reporting, visual storytelling
∎ Development sector, basic knowledge of arguments for and against microfinance, familiarity with mobile money, financial inclusion and understanding of social context of Bangladesh, strategic communications
∎ Facilitating group meetings, developing work and project plans, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, reporting, multitasking, travelling
∎ 3-5 years preferable on business/marketing/development/communications
