∎ Purpose: This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for capacity building of HCMP staff through formulating training, need assessment, developing training curriculum, designing and facilitating seminars, and learning sharing forums. In addition, this position will develop training modules and incorporate different training tools to enrich the capacity of the HCMP staff. This position is also responsible for enhancing or developing new knowledge, skills, attitudes, systems, and structures needed to function effectively, work toward sustainability, and achieve the organisation`s goals.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop a comprehensive capacity-strengthening strategy aligned with the organisation's mission and goals.
∎ Oversee developing and delivering training programmes, workshops, and learning sessions.
∎ Track the progress and effectiveness of capacity-building initiatives of different sectors.
∎ Identify capacity gaps and needs through assessments and analysis.
∎ Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff in different sectors or teams to develop specific skills and improve performance.
∎ Design capacity-building modules, materials, and guidelines and implement training and development programs to address identified capacity gaps.
∎ Collaborate with sector/unit Leads, Heads, and stakeholders to ensure capacity development efforts align with sectors and organisational objectives.
∎ Manage budgets and other resources required for capacity-strengthening initiatives.
∎ Develop key performance indicators (kpis) and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of capacity-strengthening efforts.
∎ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including ISCG, partners, and donors, to coordinate capacity-strengthening activities.
∎ Ensure capacity-strengthening initiatives comply with relevant policies and regulations of BRAC.
∎ Develop strategies to document, capture, and transfer institutional knowledge and expertise within the organisation.
∎ Provide a leading role in creating sustainable capacity development programs that will continue to deliver benefits over time.
∎ Contribute to funding and partnerships to support ongoing capacity-strengthening efforts.
∎ Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders on the progress and impact of capacity development efforts.
∎ Safeguarding:
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age Range : N/A
∎ Minimum 5 years of working experience in the development sector from any national / international development organisation. Knowledge of Bangladesh's Health / DRR / Protection / Livelihood / WASH sector is desired. Recent experience with international development organisations and humanitarian contexts will be a plus.
