Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure timely pattern-making by Garber software.
∎ Able to handle Aldi, NKD, Ernstings Family, RDG Global, Mauricus, ASDA/George, New look, Walmart etc buyer knit Top and Bottoms orders.
∎ Understand customer concepts and ideas to develop new products within the given timeframe.
∎ Develop, implement and monitor Sample and CAD design standards & procedures to meet customer needs.
∎ Prepare the right sample at the right time to meet the buyer's expectations.
∎ You have to keep consideration of cost control.
∎ Provide logistic support for defect control to the production floor.
∎ Ensure sample approval rate as per KPI.
∎ Keep track of risk factors and control them.
∎ Ensure creating a master pattern for each size within a range of garment sizes (Extra small to extra-large), using measurement charts, drafting instruments, CAD computers, and/or grading devices.
∎ Design or direct pattern-making manually and electronically (Garber) Provide guidance and direction to the CAD team to ensure operational & technical excellence.
∎ Supervise pattern correction and Provide Technical Support where necessary during sample development & production.
∎ Ensuring cost reduction by reducing all kinds of process loss & wastage like rejection. Responsible for pattern direction, fabric selection, and proto and tech pack preparation as per the instruction of buyers.
∎ Communicate and Coordinate with the associates (Sample making, Cutting, merchandisers, technicians, seniors) and suppliers to reach the best consumption with quality and efficiency and advise the team to find the best solution to reduce fabric wastage and achieve maximum fabric use.
∎ Digitizing the patterns (given by the pattern maker), carrying out alterations, adjustments, and grading as per instructions.
∎ You have to take all over responsibilities of the CAD and Sample department.
