Job Context:
We are looking for a ‘Manager - Admin & Legal’ who will report directly to the Top Management of the organization. The incumbent will be responsible to manage all Administrative and Legal functions. In this context, applicant must be responsible, dedicated, self-motivated, and proactive professional who has experience to handle Administrative, Compliance & Legal related activities in large renowned organization/s.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day Administrative support related to Logistics, Safety, Security, Transport, Housekeeping, Support Staff Supervision etc.
Communicate with the Concerns in various Sites for their needs in respect of Administration and Legal issues
Ensure all Administrative activities are in compliance with the Civil and Labor Law, protecting Company interest
Continue follow-up Admin and Legal activities with all the Departments and Ensure in-time support, coordination, and communication with the employees
Prepare and Circulate Official / Managerial Order / Note / Memo & Circular with regards to Administration
Maintain liaison with external authorities i.e. external Counsels/Lawyers; Third-party Vendors and Suppliers, Buyers & Third-party Auditors for Legal & Operations related matters
Liaison with various non-Govt & Govt. Offices i.e. Chittagong Port, Custom House, NBR, BGMEA, BKMEA, Compliance Auditors, FSCD, DIFE, Environment Office, DC Office, Law Enforcement Agencies (including NSI, SB, City SB, DB Police, Ansar), Karnaphuli Gas, PDB, WASA, BTRC, and Local influential community leaders to ensure smooth Business of the Company
Handle all Legal disputes & Litigation, with practicing capabilities at premium courts, coordinate with the external counsels, assist in drafting of Petitions, Writs, Suits; appear in the Courts on behalf of the Company and undertake the strategy aspects of Litigation
Represent the company on Civil & Criminal issues in any Court, Tribunals, Police Station, or any other Authority
Take actions for Legal Notice / Summons / Warrant, which has been issued against the Company or any person whose interest is essential for the Company
Represent the Company at Arbitration and Public Utilities Commission hearings
Formulate and implement all Administrative Policies and Manuals
Implement & Develop of the effective Management Strategies, lead the team to create good Working Environment enabling everyone to work with effort & Co-operation
Develop and Implement Admin strategies in line with the Business Plan, Labor Law, Customers’ requirement and Industry standards, etc.
Manage the issues pertaining to Industrial Relations (IR) according to Laws in force along with formulate motivational factors and conflict management
Manage changes - particularly to structure in a positive and supportive manner
Monitor and Manage Access Control & Time Attendance System
Effective handling of Grievance & disciplinary action
Evaluate departmental performance and take the required actions to guarantee business expansion
Provide a safe and secure working environment for Workers, Contractors, Suppliers, and Guests
Provide countermeasure recommendations in regular discussions with the relevant team to guarantee the security of personnel, property, and procedures
Look after all Security aspect of all premises. Receive and report to the Top Management all necessary security matters at any time for security breaches
Look after the discipline of the Security Force deployed for the safety and security of the all site premises
Perform any other task assigned by the Management related to the role
