• Required Soft & hard skills for the role:

• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment maintenance principles

• Proficiency in maintenance performance metrics (MTTR, MTBF, OEE, equipment availability)

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies and condition-based maintenance

• Familiarity with port equipment (STS cranes, RTG cranes, reach stackers, etc.) is highly preferred

• Competent in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Basic knowledge in MS office

• Committed & compliance to safety.

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules for all port equipment based on manufacturer recommendations and operational requirements

• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities as per established checklists and standard operating procedures

• Plan and schedule corrective maintenance work orders in coordination with the maintenance team

• Ensure optimal resource allocation (manpower, spare parts, and tools) for scheduled maintenance activities

Performance Monitoring & Documentation

• Monitor and record equipment performance metrics including MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures)

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment history

• Track and analyze equipment downtime and generate regular performance reports

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with operations team to minimize equipment downtime during maintenance activities

• Liaise with spare parts inventory team to ensure availability of critical components

• Support senior planners in long-term maintenance planning and shutdown activities

• Participate in daily planning meetings and provide status updates on scheduled activities

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements

• Maintain comprehensive maintenance documentation and equipment files

• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate maintenance records

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance
