Responsibilities & Context:
  • Ensure adherence of all workers (staff and contractors) to our HSSE policies, guidelines and rules

  • Proactively drive safety improvement initiatives, and participate in Management Safety Walks

  • Conduct strategic workforce planning to forecast long-term talent needs, aligning with business objectives and growth projections. Identify potential talent gaps and proactively align with recruitment strategies.

  • Achieve the optimal balance between employed staff and contractors, creating the flexibility to ramp-up resources to handle peak periods

  • Manage all contractor and vendor arrangements (in cooperation with WPS/PRD) to ensure favorable contractual arrangements and vendor’s adherence to same

  • Provide manning requirements into the budget and 5-year plan processes

  • Design and implement optimal shift patterns and resource allocation strategies, focusing on optimization. Continuously analyse current resource utilization rates and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for workforce optimization.

  • Develop and implement daily manpower plans to ensure optimal staffing levels for continuous operations, responding dynamically to real-time fluctuations and unforeseen demands.

  • Monitor attendance and ensure that empirical records are shared with HR counterparts

  • Conduct thorough training needs analyses to identify skill gaps within the workforce, collaborating with department heads and HR to recommend and support the development of targeted training and upskilling programs.

  • Assist the HR department in developing, reviewing, and updating accurate and comprehensive job descriptions that reflect current roles, responsibilities, and required competencies.

  • Report all disciplinary issues to HR and assist with the follow-up
