∎ Expected Joining Date: 15 January 2022
∎ The Protibesh project is funded by USAID which focuses on three result areas including i) Strengthening environmental governance and management; ii) Mitigating biodiversity threats and iii) Advancement of market-based incentives that promote sustainable natural resources management under the Development Objective "Strengthened Resilience to Natural Hazards." The goal of Protibesh is to improve ecosystem conservation in and around targeted key biodiversity areas of Bangladesh such as northeast haor areas and southwest Sundarbans. CNRS will be engaged in implementing project activities at the ground level with the technical support of Chemonics International.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time (up to May 2026)
∎ Job Location: Any location of North-East and South-West Region of Bangladesh

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support public and private sectors initiatives for livelihoods, market linkages, financing options; supports CMOs, local governments, and other stakeholders at sites to improve co-management and facilitate livelihoods;
∎ Facilitate co-managers in identifying and implementing priority activities.
∎ Support reviews of management plans
∎ Support RIMS, FRSS, and SMART
∎ Liaise with respective government line agencies including private sectors and respective GoB line agencies.
∎ Illustrative activities:
∎ Coordinate and supervise the Enterprise and Livelihood activities at the regional level.
∎ Participate and coordinate landscape level assessments and value chain and sub-sector analyses so as to be able to plan and determine training needs for targeted beneficiaries linking to value chains and markets.
∎ Coordinate and oversee skill training by partners and ensure quality training including vocational training and links to market and/or job.
∎ Stimulate and foster increased roles for commercially viable providers to promote economic development opportunities and associated partnerships in support of Protected Area and wetland co-management.
∎ Manage the achievement of targeted benchmarks and ensure quality control for the completion of income generation, enterprise and partnership development and associated training activities and performance targets
∎ Coordinate and working with the CMOS, RMOS, CBOs and other related stakeholders and maintain smooth working relationships
∎ Providing leadership in identifying potential partners and in developing partnerships between co-management organizations, resource user groups and private sector entrepreneurs and "green" businesses
∎ Any other activities as assigned by the respective management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum five years of experience working on projects promoting livelihoods interventions through skills training, alternative/additional income generation, micro-savings and micro-lending, youth employment.
∎ Good communication, Facilitation and motivational skill
∎ Excellent reporting skill in English
∎ Understanding of local culture and dialects
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village level
∎ To protect children in connection and uphold safeguarding principles
∎ Effective computer literacy and Tab & web-based MIS operation
∎ Having problem solving and prompt decision making capacity
∎ Ability to work under pressure
∎ Having non-discriminatory and gender sensitive perception
∎ Willingness and ability to drive motorcycle in the field as and when required; Valid driving license is an added advantage

Salary:
∎ BDT 60,412/month and other admissible benefits.
