Responsibilities & Context:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our legal operations and administrative functions. The successful candidate will assist with legal research, document management, case tracking, correspondence, and general administrative support for the legal team.
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the capability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Candidates with prior legal support experience are preferred; however, motivated individuals with relevant educational backgrounds and strong organizational skills are encouraged to apply.
Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in Political Science or a closely related discipline (such as Legal Studies or an equivalent field) will be given additional consideration.
Previous experience in a law firm, legal department, compliance function, or similar legal environment is preferred.
Experience in legal research, document management, and case administration will be considered a strong advantage.
Fresh graduates with strong research, communication, and organizational skills are encouraged to apply.
Maintain, organize, and manage legal documents, contracts, case files, and records in accordance with established procedures.
Conduct legal research using online databases, legal resources, and other relevant sources.
Review legal documents, contracts, agreements, and correspondence for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Assist in drafting, formatting, proofreading, and preparing legal documents, reports, and correspondence.
Track case progress and maintain accurate records of legal activities and deadlines.
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, regulatory authorities, and third-party organizations when required.
Coordinate with external service providers and relevant stakeholders to facilitate legal processes.
Perform data entry, document management, filing, and administrative support tasks.
Prepare regular progress reports and provide updates on assigned matters.
Ensure strict confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive legal and corporate information.
Provide administrative and operational support to attorneys, legal consultants, and other legal personnel as required.
Participate in professional development and training programs to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
