∎ Master’s degree in social science, communication, or other relevant discipline.
∎ Five to seven years of working experience in project monitoring, learning, and documentation.
∎ Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
∎ Strong facilitation and training skills, with a strong commitment to participatory approaches, such as co-creation.
∎ Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in cross-cultural settings.
∎ Experience working with USAID, including familiarity with USAID’s Program Cycle and CLA
∎ Excellent in Bangla and English typing.
∎ Ability to work independently and to manage a wide range of activities daily with limited supervision.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collaborate with program, research partners, and communications team members to produce, package, and publish UHA’s achievements.
∎ This includes preparing technical briefs, success stories, and other learning documents for publication.
∎ Facilitate reporting and learning activities, ensuring documentation and other standards outlined in UHA’s activity, monitoring, evaluation, and learning plan align with the MELR framework and strategies.
∎ Work with communications and MERL team members to identify and develop systems to collect strategic information to support project documentation.
∎ Play a key role in shaping survey tools, MELR plans, data collection, and reporting systems to drive impactful change and innovation.
∎ Support collaboration, learning, and adaptation of project activities to promote health system strengthening and improved use of data for decision-making.
∎ Organize an archiving system and controlling access to documents
∎ Work with the project team to ensure quality and consistency of documentation practice across the organization.
∎ Establish an electronic filing system and backup system for the program Carry out research/survey/assessment activities in the projects.
∎ Analyze survey data/reports and sharing with respective advisors for program improvement
∎ Collect, compile, and produce case studies and success stories working closely with the Senior Manager Communications and Documentation, Communications Advisor, and technical staff, and partners.
∎ Ensure data quality and establish accountability systems for all thematic components, incorporating information sharing, participation, and feedback mechanisms for program participants.
∎ Provide technical assistance to the city team, ensuring timely and accurate data collection, processing, reporting, and knowledge management.
∎ Assist in preparing and reporting the annual operating plan for the MELR department.
∎ Support and coordinate capacity development efforts for the MELR Officers and follow-up support.
∎ Monitor implementation of activities through regular field visits and interactions with communities, local government bodies, and other stakeholders.
∎ Brief description of the project:
∎ The purpose of the Urban Health Activity is to strengthen urban health systems, with the goal of improving equitable health outcomes among all urbanites. To achieve its goal, the activity will work with municipalities and city corporations and focus investments on establishing and strengthening urban health systems to provide quality, equitable public health (including health services), optimize available resources, and become more resilient. This Activity will focus on the following four objectives: 1) Improve the capacity of local health authorities to conduct evidence-based analysis of local health systems and epidemiology for decision-making; 2) Institutionalize evidence-based planning; 3) Strengthen urban health systems; and 4) Strengthen urban health system resilience and responsiveness to shocks and stressors.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The Learning & Documentation (L&D) Manager is a full-time position with the Bangladesh Urban Health Activity in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The L&D Manager will report to the MELR Director. The L&D Manager will coordinate and provide technical support for learning and documentation activities. This role will ensure that these activities align with UHA's MELR strategies. In addition, the Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing MELR systems. The knowledge management and learning function will support continuous improvement and achieving program strategic objectives. This position will require close collaboration with the research partner to consistently identify, apply, and share knowledge and best practices related to programming. The Manager will also support the Senior MELR Manager and the communication team in developing and delivering compelling products and services to support programmatic knowledge management and results-based management, aiming to achieve breakthroughs and strategic objectives.
