Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

The Trainer - SEB will be responsible for delivering Socio-Emotional and Behavioral Training to selected participants under The Earth Society’s programmes. The role will focus on developing participants’ confidence, communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving ability, positive attitude, workplace behavior, emotional intelligence, leadership skills, and readiness for employment or entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities

Training Planning and Delivery

• Conduct Socio-Emotional and Behavioral Training sessions according to the approved curriculum, module, session plan, and project guidelines.

• Prepare training session plans, learning materials, activities, group exercises, role plays, case studies, and practical tools for effective learning.

• Deliver participatory and learner-friendly sessions on self-awareness, confidence building, communication, teamwork, emotional control, decision-making, problem-solving, leadership, discipline, and workplace behavior.

• Use interactive training methods such as group discussion, role play, storytelling, games, reflection exercises, peer learning, and practical assignments.

• Ensure that training sessions are inclusive, respectful, and suitable for youth, women, marginalized participants, and community-level learners.

Life Skills and Behavioral Development

• Help participants develop positive attitudes, confidence, motivation, and personal responsibility.

• Train participants on professional behavior, workplace etiquette, time management, discipline, accountability, teamwork, and respect for others.

• Support participants to improve communication, listening, presentation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

• Guide participants on goal setting, career planning, self-motivation, decision-making, and personal development.

• Promote gender sensitivity, social inclusion, safeguarding awareness, ethical behavior, and respect for diversity.

Employment and Entrepreneurship Readiness

• Prepare participants for job placement, workplace adaptation, interviews, employer communication, and professional conduct.

• Support participants in developing basic employability skills such as CV presentation, interview behavior, punctuality, workplace communication, and problem-solving.

• Guide participants on how socio-emotional skills support entrepreneurship, customer handling, business communication, negotiation, and leadership.

• Coordinate with relevant project teams to identify participants who need additional coaching, mentoring, or behavioral support.

Participant Assessment and Support

• Conduct pre-training and post-training assessments to measure participants’ learning progress and behavioral improvement.

• Monitor participant attendance, engagement, participation, confidence level, and learning outcomes.

• Provide constructive feedback to participants and support them in improving personal and professional behavior.

• Identify participants facing confidence, communication, motivation, or adjustment challenges and provide basic mentoring or referral support as needed.

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment during training sessions.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of training attendance, session plans, assessment results, participant feedback, photographs, training materials, and activity documentation.

• Prepare training reports, participant progress updates, assessment summaries, mentoring notes, and follow-up reports.

• Collect and document participant improvement stories, case stories, field observations, and behavioral change examples.

• Submit all required reports and documents to the supervisor within the given timeline.

• Ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, organized, and aligned with The Earth Society’s reporting standards.

Coordination and Communication

• Coordinate with the Upazila Manager, Cluster Coordinator, Community Mobilizer, Job Placement Officer, Enterprise Development Officer, Training Center team, and other project staff for smooth training implementation.

• Communicate regularly with participants, field teams, community representatives, employers, and relevant stakeholders when required.

• Support training-related logistics, venue preparation, material distribution, attendance collection, and participant follow-up.

• Represent The Earth Society professionally during training sessions, field visits, youth engagement activities, and stakeholder meetings.
