Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 Years and above in the relevant field of Project Management (mental health relevant projects shall be preferred)

Formal Education or Equivalent:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Social Work, Social Studies, Psychology, Development Studies.

Skills:

  • People management

  • Proven experience in program management§  Proven experience managing a team.

  • Observation and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to think outside the box and work under pressure.

Responsibilities & Context:

The responsible person shall be working under the Sajida Mental Health Program, a program designed to provide access to Mental Health Services to population of all classes with primary focus on poor and lower income population base, who otherwise would not have been able to receive these services in Bangladesh. The individual shall be dedicated to particular project in either of the location – Manikganj & Habiganj. The said position shall be directly working with community to enable self-rehabilitation of mental health related beneficiaries. The responsible person shall be required to perform the relevant activities assigned under the project and shall be under the supervision of Program Manager & Head of clinical services.

Delivery and Performance:

  • Creating a socially accepting atmosphere across the local community regarding project

  • Realtime communication and understanding of individual patients’ skills and interests

  • Preparing and developing training modules and skills development techniques for individual patients

  • Engaging with different community members to enhance job opportunities for these patients.

  • Creating social groups involving to the clients to enhance social engagement.

  • Taking different initiatives such as education etc for patients to advance individuals education level.

  • Managing work – home relationship for clients and training them in process.

  • Engaging with local authorities in terms of social engagement and promoting projects works.

  • Sourcing clients across different mental health institutions for the project.

  • Visiting individual patients houses for verification.

  • Analyze requirements for clarity, completeness and consistency

  • Development of coherent work plans for all activities in the project

  • Reporting on program performance to Program Manager.

  • Plan, monitor and evaluate project procurement and contracting processes

  • Ensure the highest possible quality of delivery and devise strategies for increased program delivery and quality programming.

  • Undertake project relevant implementation focused travel inside the country when required

  • Coordinate lessons learned sessions

General Functions:

  • Manage public relations aspect of the project

  • Assure the project’s compliance with the project proposal and protocols

  • Coordinate with the senior management team to formulate project monitoring and evaluation frameworks and data gathering

  • Communicates job expectations by planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions.

  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews and preparing and completing action plans.

  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Project Control:

  • Track project execution by ensuring timely and adequate reporting, against plans including providing timely and articulate progress reports.

  • Monitor project progress, identify improvement opportunities, assist with the revision of work plans and advice the project manager of possible adjustments to meet the project objectives.
