Job Purpose
The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for mobilizing community members, identifying potential beneficiaries, organizing awareness sessions, forming community groups, supporting field-level programme activities, and maintaining regular communication with participants, community leaders, local stakeholders, and project teams. The role requires strong communication, field presence, documentation, and community engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
Community Mobilization and Awareness
Conduct regular community meetings, courtyard sessions, and local-level discussions to raise awareness about project objectives, benefits, activities, and participation criteria.
Organize awareness sessions on youth development, skills training, job placement opportunities, entrepreneurship development, climate awareness, and community responsibilities.
Share accurate project information with community members and encourage active participation of youth, women, and marginalized groups.
Build trust and maintain regular communication with local communities, families, youth groups, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
Beneficiary Identification and Selection
Support the identification, screening, and selection of eligible beneficiaries according to project guidelines and approved criteria.
Ensure inclusive participation of women, youth, persons from disadvantaged backgrounds, and other target groups.
Assist in collecting necessary beneficiary information, documents, consent, and field-level data.
Support the project team in verifying beneficiary information and maintaining transparency during the selection process.
Community Group Formation and Support
Form and support Community Groups as required by the project.
Orient and train Community Groups on their roles, responsibilities, participation process, project activities, grievance reporting, and community-level support mechanisms.
Facilitate regular meetings with Community Groups and encourage active involvement in project implementation.
Maintain records of Community Group members, meetings, decisions, attendance, feedback, and follow-up actions.
Field Coordination and Activity Support
Support field-level implementation of project activities, including training mobilization, participant follow-up, community events, awareness campaigns, climate sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
Coordinate with Trainers, Union-level teams, Upazila teams, Cluster Coordinators, and other project staff to ensure smooth activity implementation.
Assist participants in attending training, completing required documentation, and staying engaged throughout the project cycle.
Follow up with beneficiaries after training regarding job placement, entrepreneurship support, climate-related activities, or other project outcomes.
Grievance Handling and Community Feedback
Receive community feedback, complaints, and grievances in a respectful and confidential manner.
Report grievances promptly to the supervisor or relevant project team and support timely resolution.
Ensure that community members understand where and how to raise concerns or complaints.
Maintain proper records of feedback, grievances, referrals, and follow-up actions.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of community meetings, awareness sessions, beneficiary lists, Community Group activities, participant attendance, field observations, photographs, feedback, and grievance information.
Prepare regular updates on mobilization progress, community response, beneficiary status, challenges, and field-level needs.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the supervisor as required.
Support data collection, field surveys, case stories, success stories, and monitoring activities when needed.
Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain regular coordination with Union Parishad representatives, local leaders, school/college representatives, community-based organizations, youth groups, employers, entrepreneurs, and other relevant stakeholders.
Represent The Earth Society professionally at union-level meetings, community sessions, and field activities.
Support the project team in building local-level partnerships and community ownership
