Experience:
Master's degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Science or a relevant discipline.
Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in the WASH sector and 1 year working in FDMN camps.

The Community Engagement Officer shall comply with organizational safeguarding, PSEA, child protection, anti-fraud and Code of Conduct policies and immediately report any concern through established reporting mechanisms.

Job Purpose
To lead community engagement, hygiene promotion, community participation and accountability initiatives to ensure effective implementation and sustainability of WASH services.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement community engagement and participation strategies.
• Lead hygiene promotion and behavior change communication activities.
• Strengthen community ownership of WASH facilities and services.
• Coordinate community volunteers and field facilitators.
• Facilitate meetings with community leaders, committees and stakeholders.
• Support formation and strengthening of WASH committees.
• Promote inclusive participation of women, children, older persons and persons with disabilities.
• Implement accountability to affected people (AAP) and community feedback mechanisms.
• Support awareness campaigns on public health, hygiene and sanitation.
• Coordinate with engineering and programme teams for integrated implementation.
• Monitor community participation and prepare regular progress reports.
• Document success stories, lessons learned and best practices.
• Address community concerns and support conflict-sensitive implementation.
• Support assessments, surveys and post-distribution monitoring.
• Coordinate with camp authorities, WASH Sector partners and local stakeholders.
• Ensure safeguarding, PSEA and protection mainstreaming in all activities.
• Promote gender equality and social inclusion.
• Maintain project documentation related to community engagement.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.
Salary 40,000 BDT per month and others benefit as per project budget.
