Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in fire protection system design and project execution
- Certification or training in NFPA standards (preferred)
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in designing:- Fire alarm systems- Sprinkler & suppression systems- Fire hydrant & standpipe layouts- Fire pump & control panel schematics
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software
- Expertise in interpreting and applying NFPA & BNBC codes
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple large-scale projects
- Excellent communication and report writing skills

Defend Technology Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Engineer – Fire safety Drawing & Design to join our growing engineering team. This role requires a dynamic professional with a strong technical background and proven expertise in the design and implementation of comprehensive fire fighting systems. The successful candidate will lead a team in executing high-standard, code-compliant projects across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Guide and supervise a team of fire protection engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and technical excellence.
- Fire Safety System Design: Develop and manage detailed design drawings for:
- Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
- Fire Suppression Systems (e.g., Clean Agent, CO₂, FM-200)
- Sprinkler & Hydrant Systems
- Standpipe Systems
- Emergency Evacuation & Exit Lighting Plans
- Code & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all fire protection designs strictly follow:
- NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards
- BNBC (Bangladesh National Building Code) regulations
- Project Oversight: Oversee budgeting, scheduling, procurement coordination, and field implementation.Maintain quality assurance from concept to commissioning.
- System Analysis & Optimization: Evaluate performance and efficiency of existing systems.Recommend upgrades or modifications as needed.
- Client Coordination: Collaborate with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors to align fire safety solutions with operational requirements.
