Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering
Experience Requirements:
∎ 9 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform testing of textile materials to ASTM, AATCC, ISO and other relevant standards as required by the customer.?
∎ Review and sign off test data performed as per test methods and/client requirements.
∎ As a technical personnel for the laboratory, train and guide other team members to help in test selection and test recommendations and textile related regulatory methods.
∎ To create, review and approve data sheets required by the laboratory.
∎ To work with maintenance and calibration team to communicate break down and schedule repair work of the equipment's.
∎ Follow up with the lab internal verification process of equipment's and test methods.
∎ To provide lab tours and participate in both internal and client technical discussions.
∎ To perform root cause analysis, write and implement corrective actions to fix non-conformance work in the lab.
∎ Monitor and keep the lab environment organized, neat and clean.
∎ Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum of 5 years in textile testing laboratory dealing with testing data review is required.
∎ Ability to discriminate hues (color) of the dyed and tested materials (Candidates appearing for interview will be evaluated for color deficiency and Color Discrimination test (The Fransworth - Munsell 100 Hue Test and Ishihara Color deficiency test).
∎ Ability to interpret test methods and regulatory documents to the product evaluated.
∎ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds of load.
∎ Ability to perform 80% of work in standing position.
∎ Must be detail-oriented, organized and have good time management and prioritization skills.
∎ Ability to understand and effectively communicate technical and business information, both oral and written to others, including co-workers, clients, and vendors.
∎ Willingness to learn, adapt to the environment, and to perform multi-tasking.
∎ Flexibility with work schedule and work hours as business needs dictate.
∎ Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
∎ Strong oral and written communication skill in English
∎ Self-motivated, confident and proactive
