Educational Requirements:
∎ Qualified nurse-midwife. Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery/ Diploma in Midwifery, Basic BSC in Nursing /Post BSC in Nursing Preferable or Medical Assistant, in giving health teaching and in handling training equipment.

∎ There is a vacancy for the following regular position based at LAMB Training Center, Parbatipur, Dinajpur:
∎ Job Summary: Responsible to work as a member of the educational team and to assist the teaching staff of the Training Program in developing and teaching Trainees/Participants/student according to the set standards and curriculam. Provide clinical supervision for Trainee/NI&Diploma in Midwifery students during practical placement on the wards and in the community. Works as a MA, Nurse and Midwife in GW, SW, PW, LW, Delivery, ANC, Under 18, OPD (Gynae) to maintain skills and do the job assessment and training of staff nurse midwives/MA/CSBA/Other Trainees.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1) To give BASIC HEALTH TRAINING, PRIMARY HEALTH EDUCATION, and TBA TRAINING to LAMB and other organization staff as scheduled by the training coordinator.
∎ 2) To take part in other LAMB-based training as a facilitator when requested.
∎ 3) Teaches different type of training as per schedule: Basic Clinical Training (BCT), Community Skill Birth Attendant Training (CSBA), Primary Health Care Training (PHC), Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH), First Aid, HBB as per training schedule and other short courses.
∎ 4) To take part as a facilitator in field-based community seminars or workshops as arranged by the Field Coordinators of CH&DP
∎ 5) To be committed to travel to other organizations for training as scheduled.
∎ 6) Design and Develop Curriculum or update and review curriculum: Assist the Course coordinator to work with the expert groups to develop the curriculum in the following areas: a. Objectives, b. Content, c. Method and materials – Participatory based on the principals of adult learning d. training evaluation, e. prepare lesson plan.
∎ 7) To maintain a log of teaching materials and equipment used, reporting to HRDC if there is need for repairs or replacement.
∎ 8) To handle all the audio-visual equipment used for the training courses.
∎ 9) To keep accurate training records of all training given and submit these to the HRDC.
∎ 10) To facilitate VHV meetings held twice monthly in each union of CHDP target area.
∎ 11) At VHV meetings, discuss VHV work-related or personal problems and help them work out solutions.
∎ 12) At VHV meetings, give refresher training as required by the CH&DP.
∎ 13) At VHV meetings, check VHV working reports, collect data from them and give to FC.
∎ 14) To do follow-up visits for supervising VHV skill development.
∎ 15) To train Community Health Assistant’s (CHA) in knowledge, attitudes, and skills to perform duties #10 through #14.
∎ 16) Develop tools, with assistance, and implement to assess CHA skills in duties #10 through 14, and
∎ 17) transfer responsibilities for these duties to CHAs when their skill level is sufficient.
∎ 18) To identify health topics which the VHV need to teach their communities and assist in developing new modules for VHVs and community members.
∎ 19) Conduct program evaluation with assistance.
∎ 20) To take part in celebrating health-related national days with any department.
∎ 21) To take part in teaching and sharing ideas with the health teachers in the OPD.
∎ 22) To participate in the continuing in-services held at HRDC each week.
∎ 23) Be committed to do any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 2-5 years experience on teaching / Clinical (Health Related topics or Nursing and Midwifery). Sound knowledge on MS Office applicaion program. Health Related Training eg: TOT, ARH, ANC, PNC, ENC Training, Module development required.
Salary:
∎ Around Tk. 16,000 per month gross. Benefits include medical care available at LAMB and Provident fund.
