Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Sustainable Development, Development Studies or Social Science
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct research and identify innovative approaches to solve the urban contemporary issue considering environmental and sustainability concerns, interests, and issues related to the development.
∎ Lead the identification of new and emerging problems which are not being addressed also propose a comprehensive solution considering Urban Innovation with the support of the Research and Insights and Design team.
∎ Lead and manage different online and in-person events like the frugal innovation forum (FIF) collaborating with the programmes, affiliates, partners and external organisations.
∎ Drive a holistic innovative partnership & eco-system approach strategically and align with programmes, functional teams lead the way to unlock consumer values and track the results successfully.
∎ Ensure the power of T4D (Technology for Development) to promote technological innovation as an improvement of the service delivery model in Urban Development programmes.
∎ Prepare, present and negotiate complex and sensitive agreements and project proposals with bilateral/multi-lateral agencies and other donor communities.
∎ Monitor the pace of project implementation, ensuring potential of the programme is fully capitalized through the promotion of high-quality work and internal control.
∎ Generate new ideas and remain updated on trend analysis of project management within the team to scale up the urban development projects.
∎ Consider Innovation pilots with attention to cost-effectiveness, feasibility, and timely implementation of activities.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 23 years
∎ Sound knowledge of current practices of project management, standards, technical aspects of innovation and idea generation
∎ Have a good understanding of programme /sector operations at the community level and capacity building of them.
∎ Excellent communication skills.
