Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or Entrepreneurship.
Degrees in Social Work or related fields are also acceptable if combined with a proven entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience in conducting commercial contracts, HR, marketing, working with youth groups/platforms, and vocational training is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage operations, projects, and teams.
The ideal candidate will preferably be from the same Hub/Division to ensure familiarity with local operations, workflows, and culture.
Strong commitment to the vision, mission, values, and policies of the BYEC.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in managing operations, teams, and projects.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience in budgeting and financial management.
Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Enjoys seeing a project or task to its completion; detail-oriented, self-starter on projects.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and be in the field for up to 60% of his/her work/time.
Computer proficiency is a must, including the ability to use office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools).
Exposure to both NGO and private sector contexts preferred.
Basic English skills are required for reporting purposes.
Proficiency in Bangla (spoken, written, and digital/computer use) is a must.
Ability to conduct commercial dialogue and motivate job-seekers in Bangla.
Experience working with youth, including marginalized and underprivileged communities, with the ability to design practical, market-relevant services that reach the poorest.

The Bangladesh Youth Employment Consortium (BYEC) is a consortium of seven organizations in Bangladesh, seeks to address the challenges youth face in securing employment by helping youth gain access to relevant skills, resources, and opportunities that help them secure dignified employment.
Job Description Overview:
The Hub Coordinator will lead operations at the divisional level (hub) to connect youth with dignified employment and self-employment opportunities. Reporting to the Consortium Coordinator, the role ensures smooth hub management, employer linkages, and youth engagement. Key responsibilities include building partnerships with companies, training institutions, and government agencies; organizing career workshops, resume and interview coaching, and job-readiness programs; and supporting job matching, placement, and post-placement follow-up. The consortium coordinator will track and report employment outcomes, maintain the BYEC MIS, and provide labor market insights to guide strategic planning. Additionally, the role contributes to BYEC’s sustainability by identifying revenue-generating opportunities aligned with policy. The Hub coordinator combines entrepreneurial drive with social commitment, ensuring hubs deliver services valued by both companies and youth.
Key responsibilities:
1.Hub operation and management
Manage the daily operations of the hubs for smooth service delivery.
Contact for job seekers, employers, and training institutions.
Implement Hub initiatives according to BYEC guidelines and objectives.
The Hub Coordinator work very hands-on and largely independently, directly managing daily operations and delivering services to youth and employers.
Over time, the role will expand into hub leadership, taking on supervisory responsibilities and managing hub operations more strategically
2. Linkage with job providers and Employer
Developing and implementing creative service-oriented strategies to attract employers and treat them as clients of the hub’s services.
Identifying workforce needs with respect to skill gaps and hiring trends across various industries.
Keep employers linked with each other, thereby enabling alignment of job-needing and skills youths.
Organizes linkage meetings with employers and networking events for the connection between jobs and skilled youth.
Deliver prepped candidates that meet the specific workforce needs of employers.
Ensure a customer-service mindset in all employer engagement.
3. Employment and skills development programs for the aspiring employees
Identify employment opportunities for youth through market demand analyses.
Provide career coaching, entrepreneurship support, and tailored skills training that prepare youth for both employment and self-employment.
Conduct resume-building workshops and mock interviews for job seekers to understand the real-world experiences created in such encounters.
Assist enrolling youths into vocational training and financial literacy programs in a bid to better improve their career prospects.
4. Job matching and placement
Establish and maintain a dynamic system to efficiently respond to the demand of employers for youth.
Ensure a proper tracking of job placements, retention rates, and feedback from the employers in order to continuously improve placement strategies.
Partner with the training providers to better match the youth skills with the changing labor market needs.
Post-placement career support to the new employees.
5. Stakeholder engagement and partnership development
Build partnerships with companies in the private sector, government agencies, and NGOs to synergize opportunities for youth.
Advocacy for soft policies on youth for inclusive hiring processes.
Facilitate contact between training institutions and employers to make training appropriate for the market.
6. Monitoring, reporting, and program improvement
Keep a proper record of job-seekers, employers, and employment trends to guide programming.
Track job placement success rates and wage employment outcomes, along with overall workforce integration.
Document success stories and labor market information for learning and program improvement.
Leverage feedback from employers and job-seekers to improve matching of job placements and training.
7. Coordination and reporting to central level and BYEC
Submit a monthly progress report to the central level. The report should be in line with BYEC reporting standards.
Join weekly and monthly meetings with the central level and Consortium Coordinator. Discuss current implementation, challenges faced, and upcoming plans during these meetings.
Keep the BYEC MIS updated with real-time data. This includes details on job seekers, employers, the progress of training, and job placement statuses to support decision-making.
Share insights about the local labor market, analyze skill demands, and gather feedback from both youth and employers to help with adaptive planning and strategic alignment.
Make sure to follow BYEC’s operational protocols, campaign guidelines, documentation standards, and activity plans, ensuring everything runs smoothly across all hub functions.
Gather and share best practices from the field, along with impactful stories and innovative strategies, with the central level for learning, reporting, and advocacy purposes.
8. Contribution to BYEC Sustainability
Take an active role in developing a hub business model that reduces donor dependency and moves toward cost recovery and revenue generation, for example through placement fees, employer-paid services, or value-added offerings.
One festival bonus equivalent to one (1) month`s gross salary.
