Job Purpose
The Regional Manager will effectively coordinate, implement, and monitor gender mainstreaming plans across BRAC's programmes and enterprises. This role also involves facilitating skill transfer, advocacy, and reporting to achieve gender equality goals.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement field-based gender mainstreaming with programmes, enterprises and departments (PEDs).
Facilitate gender skill development for staff, volunteers and relevant stakeholders.
Develop monthly & annual plans, gender mainstreaming IEC (information, education, and communication) materials, modules and tools for achieving gender equality goals.
Organise and participate in regional meetings, dialogues, workshops and events.
Prepare VAWG incident reports, maintain referral linkages, and regularly update digital MIS.
Manage budgets, advocate for gender goals, and maintain strong communication with local partners, including government and NGO stakeholders.
Drive the implementation of the gender marker to ensure a gender-responsive workplace.
Conduct gender-responsive infrastructure surveys across field level to generate inputs for the gender climate report.
Assist safeguarding investigations on sexual harassment cases by facilitating field-level fact-finding with the Safeguarding Unit.
Organise events and campaigns to promote women’s rights and gender equality.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
