About “BYEC”:
The Bangladesh Youth Employment Consortium (BYEC) is a consortium of seven organizations in Bangladesh that seeks to address the challenges youth face in securing employment by helping youth gain access to relevant skills, resources, and opportunities that help them secure dignified employment.
The Account Officer shall perform the following tasks:
1. Financial planning and analysis:
1.1 Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for short and long-term goals.
1.2 Analyze financial data, reports, and inflation to identify risks and opportunities.
1.3 Measure performance against plans and make strategic recommendations.
2. Financial strategy and transactions:
2.1 Cash control, pay all bills related to BYEC and projects.
2.2 Lead financial transactions of BYEC and develop a smooth process of collecting bills and payments.
2.3 Maintain an effective cash flow management and ensure a profitable mix of equity and debt.
2.4 Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities.
2.5 Advise on investment strategies and financial decisions to maximize profit.
2.6 Maintain and update asset register
3. Financial reporting and compliance:
3.1 Prepare and analyze financial statements and financial activity reports for central and hub coordinators, donors, and stakeholders.
3.2 Ensure the expenses comply with all financial regulations. responsible for complying with and keeping the financial policy up to date
3.3 Liaise with auditors and manage the month-end closing process.
3.4 Support the external audit process, including preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor queries.
3.5 Manage month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with organizational timelines.
4. Risk management and control:
4.1 Implement and monitor financial controls and procedures to protect the BYEC assets.
4.2 Identify financial risks and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
5. Departmental and inter-departmental oversight:
5.1 Provide financial guidance and support to other departments, such as marketing and project/s.
5.2 Participate in monthly meetings, training, and other meetings assigned by management.
5.3 Maintain personnel files of staff, including archiving all records like personal information, record of leave, letters, with the assistance of Hub Coordinators, and provide to management as demanded
Festival bonus equivalent to one (1) month’s gross salary.
