∎ JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of the role is developing research platforms to generate insights to facilitate decision making process of the programme more effective and efficient.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conceptualize and develop a contemporary and right fit Research & Insights unit for Microfinance programme.
∎ Build a system to analyze and capture insights on microfinance clients and their changing needs, the landscape of the sector as a whole, emerging trends etc.
∎ Influence high level strategic decision making process of the programme to measure client centric interventions and social performance goals with in-depth research output.
∎ Conduct gap analysis of research needs for the programme and its different units, for example: client development unit, business development unit, operations unit etc.
∎ Develop yearlong research log framework and roll out all research works efficiently.
∎ Build effective partnership with external research firms or agencies, both in local and international markets, to run down necessary programmatic research projects.
∎ Maintain effective liaison with local and international thought leaders in microfinance sector to share research findings, experience and learning from different research exercises.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Understanding social segments, change in needs in people's life
∎ Strategy formulation, Logframe, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Monitoring & Evaluation framework development at organizational and unit level
∎ In depth knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
∎ Data analysis and generate insight
∎ Professional mentoring and coaching for employee capacity development
∎ Partnership management with research firms or agencies, regulators, local and global development organizations, global thought leaders relating to financial inclusion, poverty alleviation and building resilience.
∎ Minimum 7 years of working experience in relevant field.
