• Educational background in Textile Engineering is preferred

• Minimum 10 years of hand-on experience in Fabric Research & Development, Fabric Design of export based Woven Textile Factories are encouraged to apply.

• Applicants must have an experience in R&D in a Textile factory.

• Strong knowledge of spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing processes.

• Strong presentation skill.

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills are required.

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing new textile products, improving existing processes and introducing innovative, sustainable and cost-effective solutions in textile manufacturing. The role focuses on enhancing fabric quality, performance and market competitiveness.

Job Description / Responsibility:

·       Lead and manage all R&D activities of the textile division, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

·       Develop and present new product ideas and samples to internal teams and customers.

·       Work closely with production, marketing, sourcing and technical teams to develop and improve textile products.

·       Use modern tools and systems (including CAD where required) to support product development and innovation.

·       Analyze and assess fabric and raw material requirements based on product needs, seasonal demand and market trends.

·       Continuously explore new yarn types, fabric constructions and finishing techniques.

·       Stay updated with the latest textile technologies, production methods and industry trends.

·       Ensure all development projects are completed on time and within cost targets.

·       Represent the company in industry events, exhibitions and technical discussions, while keeping track of competitor developments.

·       Build strong relationships with suppliers and technology partners.

·       Apply strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and proper follow-through

·       Lead raw material development and cost optimization, balancing quality and efficiency.

·       Provide technical guidance on yarn, fabric performance and processing.

·       Oversee testing of raw materials and finished fabrics to ensure quality and compliance.

·       Maintain and update the fabric and development library for ongoing references

• Work closely with production to ensure all developments are practical and scalable.
