Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fashion Design
∎ Any type of degree in Textile Design, or Material Science will get additional preferences.

Experience Requirements:
∎ 10 to 12 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Fashion Design, Garments Textile, Research and Development Woven Fabrics
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the overall R&D & Fashion Designing related activities of the Factory effectively & efficiently.
∎ Strong presentation skills. Producing designs and samples for presentation to customer.
∎ Making up sets of sample designs liaising with clients and technical, marketing and buying staff to plan and develop designs.
∎ Using updated software and computer-aided design (CAD) programs to develop a range of designs to experiment with color, fabric and texture
∎ Analyze and assess fabric needs, based on Design's, Seasonal direction and Trends. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology.
∎ Developing new design concepts ensuring that projects are completed on time as well.
∎ Attending trade shows as an exhibitor - this may involve representing the company with a display or stand, or appraising the work of competitors.
∎ Keeping up to date and spotting fashion trends in fabric design by reading forecasts in trade magazines and using internet resources to develop a network of business contacts.
∎ Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills, detail oriented, with strong follow through
∎ Deep understanding of raw material development and cost engineering.
∎ Excellent technical knowledge of yarn and performance fabrications.
∎ Experience with raw material and garment testing.
∎ Review and maintains the department fabric library to ensure this is kept up to date.
∎ Working knowledge and understanding of Production.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
∎ Candidates having minimum 10 years (minimum 2 years in similar position) of hands-on experience in Fabrics Research & Development, Fabric design of export based Woven Textile Factory (s) are only encouraged to apply.
∎ Applicants must have an experience in R&D and Fashion Design in a Textile Factory.
∎ Strong presentation skills.
∎ Excellent writing, interpersonal & high-level communication skills (both English & Bangla) are required.
