• Good understanding of quality standards and buyer compliance requirements

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Head of Peaching / Brushing to lead our finishing operations within the textile division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality surface finishing (peach effect) while maintaining production efficiency, cost control, and compliance with buyer standards. This role requires strong leadership, in-depth process knowledge, and hands-on experience in peaching and brushing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all peaching and brushing operations in the finishing department.

• Ensure the required surface finish and soft hand feel is achieved as per buyer standards.

• Set and control machine parameters (speed, pressure, roller setting, number of passages) for consistent quality.

• Develop and standardize process parameters and SOPs for peaching/brushing operations.

• Monitor daily production output to meet targets and delivery timelines.

• Maintain strict quality control to avoid defects such as streaks, uneven surface, fabric damage, or shade variation.

• Coordinate with Dyeing, Washing, Quality, and Production teams for smooth workflow and bulk approval.

• Optimize machine utilization and reduce rework, rejection, and wastage.

• Supervise operators, technicians, and supervisors to ensure proper machine handling.

• Troubleshoot issues related to fabric surface, GSM variation, strength loss, or finishing defects.

• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of peaching/brushing machines.

• Implement and monitor safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment.

• Maintain production, quality, and process records for management review.

• Train and develop team members to improve efficiency and skill levels.

• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, company policies, and environmental standards.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process optimization) to enhance productivity and quality.
