Job Responsibilities & Context

Experience Group Bangladesh is looking for a Head of HR & Operations – Factories to lead factory-level HR, administration, workforce management, compliance coordination, employee relations, discipline, and operational support across our factory operations.

This role will be based at our Bhaluka factory site and will work closely with production, planning, IE, quality, compliance, admin, security, maintenance, stores, commercial, corporate HR, and senior management.

The position requires a smart, trustworthy, honest, hands-on, and factory-experienced leader who understands the realities of large-scale manufacturing operations. The selected candidate must be able to manage people, maintain discipline, support operational efficiency, protect company interests, and provide management with clear and honest visibility from the factory floor.

The ideal candidate should not be someone who only works from the office. This role requires regular factory floor presence, strong communication with workers and department heads, practical problem-solving, and the ability to identify HR and operational risks before they become serious issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead factory-level HR, administration, employee relations, welfare, attendance, payroll coordination, recruitment, and disciplinary functions.

  • Supervise and develop the factory HR, admin, welfare, attendance, payroll, and support teams.

  • Act as the key coordination point between factory management, corporate HR, senior management, and all factory departments.

  • Ensure proper implementation of company policies, factory discipline, HR procedures, operational standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Work closely with production, planning, IE, quality, maintenance, stores, commercial, accessories, textile, and admin teams to ensure manpower is aligned with operational needs.

  • Monitor department-wise headcount, absenteeism, overtime, turnover, manpower efficiency, weak performers, overstaffing, and manpower gaps.

  • Ensure proper manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, transfer, promotion, resignation, termination, and final settlement processes.

  • Oversee attendance, leave, overtime, shift duty, salary processing, bonus, biometric records, employee files, appointment letters, ID cards, service books, and HR documentation.

  • Handle worker grievances, staff disputes, misconduct cases, show-cause notices, investigations, domestic enquiries, and disciplinary actions in a fair and legally compliant manner.

  • Maintain factory discipline while ensuring workers and staff are treated properly, fairly, and professionally.

  • Monitor worker morale, floor-level concerns, communication gaps, misinformation, internal politics, and potential unrest risks.

  • Work closely with the compliance team for social audits, buyer visits, corrective action plans, documentation, worker committees, and audit readiness.

  • Ensure HR practices comply with Bangladesh Labour Law, buyer requirements, company policies, and factory-level statutory requirements.

  • Oversee worker welfare, medical support, canteen coordination, transport, security, housekeeping, and general factory administration where applicable.

  • Support factory management in improving daily operational discipline, departmental coordination, reporting systems, and accountability.

  • Identify bottlenecks related to people, attendance, discipline, communication, manpower, and department coordination, and recommend practical solutions.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly HR and factory operations reports for senior management.

  • Provide honest, data-based updates on headcount, turnover, absenteeism, overtime, grievances, disciplinary cases, recruitment, audit readiness, and operational risks.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and alert senior management early about serious HR risks, compliance gaps, employee unrest, internal politics, or operational weaknesses.

  • Build a professional, disciplined, transparent, and accountable HR and factory operations culture across the site.
