At least 2–3 years in a similar group-level / head-of-quality role in a large RMG organization
Proven experience leading multi-unit quality teams and large-scale quality improvement programs
Strong understanding of garment manufacturing quality systems, inspection methodologies, audits, and buyer requirements
Strong business acumen with ability to connect quality with cost, efficiency, and profitability
Strategic planning, governance, and transformation leadership capability
Proficiency in ERP systems, data analysis, dashboards, and performance metrics
Strong problem solving, RCA tools, CAPA, and continuous improvement mindset
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and capacity building skills
Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and across all factory levels
Strong people management: fairness, motivation, coaching, performance management

Job Purpose
The Group Head of Quality (RMG Division) will lead and drive the overall quality strategy, governance, and execution across all garments units to ensure products consistently meet company standards, buyer requirements, and applicable regulatory/safety expectations. This role acts as a change agent to accelerate transformation through world-class quality systems, capability building, process optimization, and strong cross-functional alignment with Production, Merchandising, Technical, and Supply Chain.
Responsibilities & Context
1) Quality Strategy & Governance
Design, develop, implement, and ensure strict adherence to the Group Quality Management System across all RMG units.
Establish and continuously update quality policies, SOPs, standards, and procedures for all functions related to product realization.
Ensure alignment of quality objectives with business goals, cost targets, customer satisfaction, and operating profit.
2) Quality Assurance & Process Excellence
Lead Quality Assurance by implementing world-class manufacturing quality practices, right-first-time culture, and prevention-based quality.
Define product specifications and critical-to-quality attributes; validate and improve quality processes across product lifecycle.
Conduct and monitor process audits, first-article/first-piece approvals, in-line and end-line systems, and final audit effectiveness.
Introduce statistical process control (SPC), KPI dashboards, and performance metrics to improve predictability and reduce defects.
3) Cross-Functional Leadership (Production–Quality–Merchandising Bridge)
Build strong coordination between Production, Quality, and Merchandising to reduce gaps, prevent misunderstandings, and ensure smooth execution.
Identify bottlenecks in quality/production flow and initiate sustainable efficiency and defect reduction measures.
Support pre-production risk assessment and ensure readiness for style/line changes and bulk execution.
4) Issue Resolution, CAPA & Customer Satisfaction
Lead resolution of quality issues with unit Quality Managers, vendors, and relevant teams; ensure structured root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
Analyze customer feedback, complaints, satisfaction survey results, and failure trends; drive corrective/preventive actions across units.
Own and improve non-conformance handling, discrepancy reporting, and rework/alteration reduction programs.
5) Supplier/Vendor Quality Management
Coordinate and assist with vendor inspections, supplier quality evaluation, and incoming quality assurance as required.
Collaborate with Supply Chain partners to implement quality standards and capacity building programs.
6) Training, Capability Building & Culture
Design and implement quality training programs for QA/QC, Production, Technical, and Supply Chain partners.
Build a high-performing quality organization through coaching, fair people management, motivation, and performance evaluation.
7) Reporting & Management Communication
Prepare and submit monthly quality performance reports to Management with actionable insights, improvement initiatives, and risk alerts.
Maintain quality documentation, audit reports, compliance/agency-required documents, and ensure traceability.
8) Systems, Data & ERP Enablement
Ensure effective use of ERP, data analysis tools, and operational metrics to drive transparency and decision-making.
Track and manage quality cost parameters (rework, rejection, claims, wastage) and improvement ROI.
