The Senior Project Officer – Designer is responsible for empowering Rohingya women and girls through training, entrepreneurship development, and income-generating activities under the Protection–GBV program. The role ensures effective capacity building, coordination with stakeholders, and development of tools and strategies to promote sustainable women’s empowerment and leadership.
Coordination and Planning
Design and implementation of skill development and economic empowerment strategies for the protection, ensuring integration of gender and social inclusion priorities within HCMP.
Coordinate with sector-specific stakeholders and local/sectoral committees to strengthen collaboration and create market linkages for women entrepreneurs.
Engage with TVET, NGOs, and other partners to identify and mobilize women entrepreneurs for skills training and enterprise development opportunities.
Conduct sectoral demand analysis and contribute to developing strategies for sector-wise entrepreneurship promotion to enhance women’s access to sustainable income-generating activities.
Develop and implement annual and quarterly work plans aligned with project goals, donor requirements, and KPIs (e.g., number of trainings conducted, women engaged in IGAs, achievement of product sales targets, and quality technical support interventions).
Implementation
Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and propose timely solutions to ensure effective delivery.
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of field staff and volunteers to ensure efficient and effective project implementation.
Provide regular guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress and impact.
Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare regular progress reports and other relevant documentation.
Ensure logistic support for smooth implementation.
Conduct training and workshops for Rohingya women on various topics such as leadership, financial literacy, business management, and gender-based violence prevention.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and peer learning among project participants.
Design and develop innovative products and services to meet the needs of Rohingya women.
Create training materials, IEC materials, and other project tools.
Maintaining stock for product, cash management and provide support for budget planning.
Knowledge Management and reporting
To collect primary and secondary data relating to studies, market surveys or other requirements
To assist in preparing case studies of successful participants and provide information for updating project communication needs
Prepare accurate and timely reports on project activities, achievements, and challenges.
Compile data and information for donor reports and other external communications
Coordination
Call upon coordination meetings before drafting major reports
Establish and maintain a strong coordination channel with the MEAL, Communications, and Finance & Accounts, procurement, vendors of the programmes to integrate relevant data into reports, as required.
Safeguarding
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
