Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
MBA or postgraduate qualification will be considered an added advantage.
Minimum 20 years of experience in the sweater manufacturing industry.
At least 8–10 years in a senior leadership role such as General Manager (Production), Director (Production), or equivalent.
Proven experience managing large-scale export-oriented sweater manufacturing operations.
Strong knowledge of modern production systems, Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, ERP systems, compliance, and quality management.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills in English and Bangla.
Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging production targets.
Computer proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Sound understanding of international buyer compliance requirements.
Job Context: We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and result-oriented Executive Director (Production) to lead the overall production operations of our vertically integrated sweater manufacturing facilities. The incumbent will be responsible for developing production strategies, maximizing productivity, ensuring superior quality, achieving on-time delivery, optimizing costs and leading large production teams while maintaining world-class compliance and sustainability standards.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and oversee end-to-end sweater production operations, including Knitting, Linking, Trimming-Mending, Washing, Finishing, Quality Assurance, Packing, and Dispatch.
Develop and execute production plans to ensure on-time shipment while meeting customer quality standards.
Improve productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve operational excellence.
Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning, Commercial, Quality, Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, HR, and Compliance departments.
Ensure optimum machine utilization, workforce planning, and capacity management.
Lead, mentor, and develop senior production managers and departmental heads.
Ensure compliance with buyers’ requirements, health & safety regulations, and all applicable labor laws.
Drive automation, digitalization, and process improvements across production.
Analyze production data and prepare strategic reports for top management and the Board of Directors.
Manage production budgets and control manufacturing costs.
Maintain excellent relationships with international buyers during factory visits and technical discussions.
