Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
Sri Lankan and Indian nationals are highly preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Experience working with reputed international buyers is highly preferred.
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (AGM/GM level).
Strong knowledge of international quality standards and compliance requirements.
We are a leading and reputed organization in the RMG sector, committed to delivering high-quality products to international buyers. To strengthen our Quality function, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of GM – Quality (Expatriate).
Lead and manage the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across all units.
Develop and implement quality strategies, systems, and procedures to meet international standards.
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality issues proactively.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain consistent quality performance.
Train and develop the quality team to enhance skills and efficiency.
Liaise with buyers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding quality matters.
Prepare and present quality reports to top management.
Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all quality-related processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Ensure inline, end-line, and final inspection standards are strictly followed.
Analyze quality data, KPIs, and defect trends to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with Production, Merchandising, and Technical teams to improve product quality and reduce rework.
Lead pre-production meetings and ensure quality requirements are clearly communicated.
Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution with proper documentation.
Oversee factory compliance audits (social, technical, and quality audits).
Ensure product safety, testing standards, and certifications are maintained.
Manage risk assessment related to quality and implement mitigation plans.
Maintain strong communication with buyers regarding quality expectations and approvals.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records.
Lead factory readiness for new buyer onboarding and product categories.
