Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in any discipline/ MBA/ B.Sc in Textile engineering
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Follow up activities from fabric booking to shipment
∎ Maintain communication with buyers
∎ Follow-up and ensure timely approval of all samples
∎ Handle day-to-day merchandising operations
∎ Understand and follow up customer procedures for order execution
∎ Communicate with suppliers for fabric, trims & accessories booking and delivery
∎ Work with production department to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods
∎ Ensure customer satisfaction through effective customer service
∎ Liaise with technical team to ensure technical compliance of factory as per customers' requirement
∎ Ensure proper and centralized planning of production to meet delivery deadline
∎ Liaise with quality department to ensure product quality
∎ Liaise with sample department to ensure timely production and supply of quality samples
∎ Guide Product Development (PD) team for development of product and costing and seasonal product design with coordination of sourcing and design team
∎ Assist the product development process to ensure that products meet customers' quality
∎ Ensure regular report generation and factory visit for its operational update
∎ Supervise and provide coaching, guidance, counselling and training to the teams
∎ Lead the teams to increase company profitability
∎ Retain and grow businesses with existing customers and acquire new customers.
∎ Prepare price quotation and cost sheet
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Need experience of handling World renowned garment buyers such as GAP, Kohl's, PVH, JC Penney, American Eagle, Walmart, Perry Ellis etc.
∎ Need capability to supervise a team of 40-50 merchandisers
∎ Need capability to handle minimum 10-15 buyers at a time
∎ Deep knowledge in material costing, sourcing & procurement
∎ Good command in English / computer literacy. Well experienced with reputed buyers (experience of dealing with multiple lingerie/underwear buyers will be given preference)
∎ Excellent communication skills both spoken and written in English
∎ Commitment, attitude and ability to work as a team
∎ Ability to work under pressure even for longer working hours
∎ Capable of handling business with monthly turnover of $ 15 million
∎ Minimum 15 years experience including 5 years as General Manager in reputed Woven factory.
∎ Need to be based in Chittagong on full time basis.
