Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in GIS / Geography / Urban and Rural Planning (URP) / Remote Sensing / Information Technology or any other relevant discipline

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency

Job Responsibilities:
∎ GIS Mapping Activities
∎ Work with the SuLMER Coordinator and SuLMER team in the validation and processing of all required GPS data
∎ Update and maintain offline/online GPS/GIS datasets and shape files
∎ Prepare GIS data for use in web mapping applications,
∎ Create high quality cartographic products for publication and presentations
∎ Check data, tables, maps, and texts for reports for consistency and accuracy
∎ Coordinate with the team in preparing reports regularly on SuLMER interventions in close coordination with the SuLMERCoordinator and in line with the activity plan
∎ Coordinate with the team in preparing an updated GIS database for SuLMERand inform the SuLMERCoordinator and the UNHCR units regularly
∎ Assist the project implementation team in conducting regular/monthly and need based meetings,
∎ Attend training/orientation as and when asked by the organization/ project management
∎ Analyze GIS data layers to generate use-oriented products e.g. translate vulnerability, biodiversity, connectivity and climate action
∎ Prepare a GPS data collection tool and orient stakeholders on the collecting of data
∎ Perform any other task as and when assigned by the project management.
∎ Information Management Activities
∎ Support the promotion of data and information sharing within SuLMER and maintain data and information-sharing relationships within the humanitarian community and with relevant governmental bodies
∎ Identify and obtain the needed data and information elements required to produce standardized information products and design and manage respective data/information collection plans for baseline and context-specific data
∎ Support the PMU in the analysis of processed data and information and perform data quality and consistency control
∎ Provide Information Management services to support SuLMER monitoring activities
∎ Leverage Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for map production and geographic data management
∎ Provide Information Management support to needs assessments
∎ Perform any other task as and when assigned by the organization/ project management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Progressively relevant professional working experience preferably on GIS, Remote Sensing and Information Management.
∎ Clear understanding of project deliverables
∎ Knowledge of GIS applications as it relates to refugee and host community beneficiaries data in several parts of the Rohingya Refugee Camps
∎ Computer literacy in MS Office and other relevant software to produce digital maps, site plans, quantitative and qualitative data visualization (AutoCAD, Infraworks 360, QGIS, ArcGIS, Mapinfo, SPSS, EpiInfo6 , SQL Server etc...), layouts and technical drawings
∎ Experience with HTML, PHP, ASP and/or Java is an asset
∎ Have considerable knowledge of geospatial concepts, principles, and methods
∎ Experience of spatial planning across scales with a focus on participatory approaches
∎ Ability to work independently and manage tasks on a daily basis with minimal supervision
∎ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
∎ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations
∎ Ability to work effectively with other project staff, UNHCR, and other stakeholders.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
