Job Context:
∎ The company is one of the earliest member of REHAB in Bangladesh for quality in service, design and construction of buildings. Over the years, we have expanded our operations from Dhaka to Chattogram. The private limited company operates in the field of property development & constuction sector, having build commercial, residential projects & developing projects for the Bangladesh government. The group also operates one of the largest fleet of vessels within the country & consist of companies that may provide end to end logistical support. The company is also part of a group of companies which also manufactures & trades building materials such as stone, cement, steel, & plastic products. The founder and Managing Director of the company is a 3rd Parliamentary Member of the Republic of Bangladesh government.
∎ As an General Manager, you will provide leadership to your team and outstanding customer service to your clients, while managing an industrial portfolio. You are responsible for all aspects Construction related task including Tender Participation for Government work acquisition, project supervision, Profit & Loss responsibility and the freedom & resources to plan, organize and drive the growth of the company.
∎ We are seeking an experienced and innovative General Manager with exceptional business management skills, significant leadership experience and a passion for turning around things for growth.
∎ You will need a strong operational background in a corporate setup and be well versed in managing the company at an executive level. You will manage day-to-day operations of the company, handle all aspects of Board relationships, and general issues, thus having a direct effect on the financial and operational bottom-line of the company. Your industry, corporate and market knowledge will come from a successful career in the Real Estate & Construction Sector.
∎ You will need to be highly articulate, confident and a persuasive team-builder who is able to motivate and communicate across levels to achieve best outcomes both internally and externally. You will directly supervise the efforts and activities of all senior and middle level managers and ensure that they comply with all the manuals of the company and legal procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for overall timely implementation of the Project, maintaining the quality, workmanship and within the approved budget.
∎ Strong Leadership, motivating subordinates for achieving their targets and team building
∎ Responsible for all aspect of Construction work and estimate.
∎ Manage and supervise the activities of all the personnel's of the Project
∎ Supervision of construction as per design and drawing like Architectural, Structural, Plumbing and Electrical system of a project.
∎ Perform in planning, designing and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities.
∎ Prepare BOQ, schedule the project in logical steps and prepare budget, time required to meet deadline.
∎ Documentation and periodic reporting and capable of solving all technical and managerial problems at project.
∎ Coordinating with all the relevant departments to ensure smooth operation.
∎ Responsible for operation, Sales and Marketing (Building Products)
∎ Set up Guideline of Sales team to develop effective sales strategy.
∎ Resolving the issue related to project implementation with prior approval from management whenever applicable.
∎ Should have extensive experience in construction finishing works.
∎ Prepare project budget in details and allocate the resources accordingly considering expenses to ensure the desired profit.
∎ Maintain liaison with various Government, semi Government, Autonomous bodies for various approval of construction works and infrastructure project.
∎ Achieve Company's Goals, Sales target through proper planning and execution.
∎ Identify Target Markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.
∎ Develop project execution plan and manage the individual projects
∎ Monitor deviations from budget and take corrective action to meet established goals.
∎ Ensures assigned projects are completed within scheduled time and budget by meeting clients' specification.
∎ Ensures progress in made onsite and work progresses in accordance with the agreed upon schedule.
∎ Perform any other job as assigned by the Management from time to time.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Prior experience developing leadership training that aligns with goals of the business is required.
∎ Soft-skills, management/leadership, and developmental training experience required. OD and team building experience preferred.
∎ Must be able to understand and implement a successful needs assessment and recommend solutions that will be both cost and time effective.
∎ Exceptional training and facilitation skills required.
∎ Excellent organizational, prioritization, and written and verbal communication skills required
∎ Ability to influence without authority
∎ Natural teaching ability and enthusiasm for learning
