EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • In-depth knowledge of hotel management best practices, local laws, and industry guidelines

  • Strong financial acumen — budgeting, P&L management, and revenue optimization

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Hotel Property Management Software (PMS)

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Bengali

  • Strong guest relations and customer service orientation

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and solve problems under pressure

  • Outstanding leadership with the ability to manage a large, diverse team

  • Ability to perform effectively during peak tourist seasons



Responsibilities & Context:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Hotel Mishuk, situated at the heart of Laboni Point in Cox's Bazar, is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead all operational facets of the property. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a hospitality professional ready to drive service excellence, financial performance, and team development in one of Bangladesh's most high-traffic tourist destinations.

CORE OBJECTIVES

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring financial profitability, maintaining high standards of guest service, and leading a diverse team in a competitive coastal hospitality environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operational Management

    • Oversee daily operations across all departments — Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Accounts, Security, and Maintenance

    • Ensure full compliance with local hospitality laws, health regulations, and safety standards

    • Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate scheduled maintenance and renovations

    • Allocate responsibilities across teams to achieve the most efficient operating model

  2. Financial Oversight

    • Develop and manage annual budgets, revenue forecasts, and financial reports

    • Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures without compromising service quality

    • Optimize room occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR) through strategic pricing and marketing initiatives

    • Analyze financial data and monitor sales performance and overall profitability

  3. Guest Excellence

    • Ensure a superior guest experience by maintaining consistently high service standards in Cox's Bazar's competitive hospitality market

    • Personally attend to VIP and high-profile guests; professionally resolve complex complaints

    • Analyze guest feedback and online reviews to implement continuous service improvements

  4. Team Leadership

    • Recruit, train, and mentor department heads and staff to build a culture of excellence

    • Conduct regular staff meetings, performance appraisals, and development reviews

    • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and motivating work environment for all employees

  5. Sales & Marketing

    • Design and execute effective marketing strategies to promote the hotel's services and grow revenue

    • Collaborate with sales teams to drive corporate bookings, group tours, and seasonal packages

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, OTAs, suppliers, and event/conference planners

    Location: Cox's Bazar (Laboni Point)
