Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Technology
∎ Bangladesh University of Textiles students will get preference
Experience Requirements:
∎ 10 to 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
8 to 10 years experience in related department, Dyeing, Textile
Job Responsibilities:
∎ > Developing fabric standards and ensuring that they are maintained to commercial standards.
∎ > To make sure that chosen fabrics meet the needs of their clients in terms of quality, performance and price.
∎ > To source new fabrics and work with mills and dyers to engineer products. Carry out color testing of fabrics and approve laboratory dips.
∎ > Assess the fabrics are within the capabilities of machinery, costing and the capabilities of the fabric.
∎ > Oversee a short sample run and monitor-the quality of knitting, dyeing, finishing- for potential problems before ironing.
∎ > Lead technical requirement of garment wear testing and implementing final execution
∎ > Assess whether the fabrics are within the capabilities of machinery, costings and the capabilities of the fabric.
∎ > Providing fabric technical support
∎ > Developing new fabrics based on fashion trends and working closely with the Fabric & Merchant Team.
∎ > Undertaking quality evaluations of materials and develop guidelines and standards to ensure factories keep performance up to standard
∎ > Attend trend presentations, source ideas from magazines and go to yarn shows for technical innovation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ > On-boarding new buyers and developing relationships effectively
∎ > The applicants should have experience in handling buyers effectively
∎ > The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
∎ Merchandising, Costing for fabric dyeing, Raw Materials Sourcing etc.
∎ > The candidate should have sound knowledge of knitting & Dyeing production & costing.
∎ > Must take ownership to follow up orders from order taking to payment realization.
∎ > The candidate should have the capacity to source new buyers & maintain effective liaison with existing/new buyers in connection with taking profitable orders & meeting the export targets.
∎ > Should have proven leadership & Co-ordination skills
∎ > Should be self-motivated, sincere and have excellent negotiation skills.
Salary: Negotiable
