∎ Summary of Position: This position for a personnel having knowledge and skills is to assist the program team under the leadership of partnership development advisor in grants market research, donors` mapping, donors` communication, issue base research and project development, proposal writing, liaison with development agencies, direct approach to donors and participation in bid proposal for grant fund, project planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing for donors and relevant stakeholders.
∎ Report to: Head of Program under guidance and strategic support from Partnership Development Advisor
∎ Major internal contact and working relationship: Sr. Project Manager, Head of Finance, Field office coordinator, MEAL officer,
∎ External Contacts: Development agencies working with various programs in the country, Institutional donors and charity homes, Grant makers, implementing NGOs, government agencies relevant to MHI BD programs and authorities.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Resource Mobilization and management related jobs under guidance of Partnership Development Advisor Donors' mapping:
∎ Conduct grants/donors market research under two categories: for charity fund for emergency and humanitarian response, and institutional donors' fund for social, economic, human and environmental development issues.
∎ Prepare donors' data based using customized template and update them time to time.
∎ Keep handy to have regular review and access to donors' mapping to explore potential donors.
∎ Continue to research grants market in the change context like Pandemic Corona Virus and prioritize to response the meet expectation of development agencies.
∎ Partnership development:
∎ In line donors' mapping identify potential donors for charity program and development program, categorize them by thematic areas for further steps.
∎ Prepare donor information and communication package to let them learn about MHI and Bangladesh program
∎ To make direct approach, contact relevant desk of donor's office to build relationship and rapport, and make appointment to have introductory meeting duly preparing a project concept as per donor's priorities.
∎ Approach for solicited or unsolicited fund from potential donor's/development agencies.
∎ Participate in bid proposal preparing concept paper, project proposal or request for application or quotation.
∎ Communicate and maintain liaison with identified donors abroad and in the country.
∎ Coordinate with MHI HQ for their support in fund raising or partnership development
∎ Facilitate dialogue with potential donors/development agencies to jointly develop project and transform into larger program
∎ Identify likeminded grant makers in the country and abroad and develop joint proposal to explore funding opportunities.
∎ Participate to review and adjust various plans and strategies to approach to donors.
∎ Determine different fund raising strategies and apply in different fund raising initiatives.
∎ Build partnership on common interest and priorities and enter into agreement for program or project implementation.
∎ Identify implementing partner, if necessary as per terms of agreement to implement project at grass-root level.
∎ Develop sub-partnership to become sub-grantee of core grantee for any project or program implementation.
∎ Capacity building in fund raising:
∎ Review and acquire ownership of fund raising strategy paper
∎ Conduct training needs assessment on existing staff relating to resource mobilization and prepare training package for knowledge and skills development in fund raising.
∎ Facilitate training session and hands on training involving staff during resource mobilization process.
∎ Conduct training to build capacity of relevant staff enabling to contribute in project concept, project proposal, and other fund raising materials development.
∎ Support MHI BD to develop a system within the organization on fundraising plans, strategies and action based on donors' mapping and potential donors funding to be identified at different point of time.
∎ Gather information to respond donor's queries and requirements and liaison with different section of MHBCO.
∎ Programs related jobs: (Under guidance of Partnership Development Advisor)
∎ Sustainable growth of existing program:
∎ Review and assess the existing charity program to identify best practices and potential for replication learning from different countries
∎ Work closely with PDA to redesign existing program keeping focused on sustainability
∎ Ensure quality of charity program to ensure satisfaction of primary stakeholders
∎ Facilitate to develop, plan, implement and monitoring of existing programs and their reporting.
∎ Develop tools and materials for monitoring, assurance of program quality and reporting in association with MEAL officer
∎ Program Development:
∎ Conduct research using data from secondary and primary sources on development programs and their future needs in the global and national context.
∎ Learn and exchange experience with development agencies and implementing agencies on various, social, economic, environmental, human development program and experiences.
∎ Prioritize thematic areas and determine strategies to develop new programs to respond identified and prioritized issues.
∎ Writing various project concept papers, proposals, RFA, etc.
∎ Conduct research, analysis based on identified project opportunities
∎ Prepare outlines containing situation assessment in the global and national context, identify key issues and develop their responses.
∎ Write numbers of generic concept papers and project proposals to make readily available for customization
∎ Capture field experience and learning, and prepare concept paper and proposal for follow-up project.
∎ Explore and identify potential projects for partnership and implementation and customise the existing or new projects.
∎ Project Planning, monitoring and implementation:
∎ Develop customise proposal with monitoring framework and implementation plan
∎ Prepare various tools and materials for project monitoring during implementation and assessment of progress and achievement at different point of time.
∎ Oversee project implementation at different areas in partnership with development/implementing agencies.
∎ Develop small project as a model to demonstrate MHI BD capacity and gaining knowledge on specific thematic areas.
∎ Quality assurance and donors' reporting:
∎ Develop various tools and materials for monitoring and quality assurance of donor's funded project implementation
∎ Monitoring and quality assurance of program and grants spending ensuring value for money
∎ Monitor fundraising plan and achievement measured by milestones.
∎ Monitor the project/program in implementation and spending plan of development partners' funds.
∎ Visit field and program/project sites to follow-up, assess progress, accomplishments of outputs/ objectives
∎ Prepare periodic progress report following donor reporting guidelines.
∎ Internal coordination and external coordination with relevant stakeholders:
∎ Participate in different forums and contribute in program and funding issues
∎ Promote and image building of MHI as specialised in social, economic, environmental and humanitarian responses.
∎ Coordinate with finance department to prepare and monitor projects budget and their spending/burning rate
∎ Mobilize field and HQ staff to gather information for project development and information relating to funding raising.
∎ Liaison with donors' agencies categorizing in charity fund and social development fund for coordination as potential partners.
∎ Prepare report in coordination with internal staff relevant to project implementation, fund management, documentation, evaluation, etc.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Relevant Experience: Shall have at least 10 years working experiences in program development, management, involvement in fund raising for at least 5 years duly playing active roles in project development, fund raising, donors' communications, promotion, marketing and reporting.
∎ Skills required: Shall very good writing and communication skills in English with articulation and presentation of program/project to donor's/development agencies and other stakeholders. High level competencies to use ICT for all sorts of data base, documentation, communication. Shall have strong report writing skills with due understanding of donor's requirement and quality. Shall have presentation skills using PowerPoint and other software's.
