Job Context:
∎ Contract Duration for Development: One Month (Flexible)
∎ Position Title : Freelance Web Developer (contractual) Division: ICT-GIS Division
∎ Reporting To : Director, ICT-GIS Division
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Re-creating website: Developer will be responsible for designing and developing website of IWM. This includes creating the user interface, integrating the front-end and back-end systems, and ensuring that the site is optimized for speed and usability. Also, it should be scalable, configurable by admin user and design must be based on a Framework.
∎ Managing databases: He/She will be responsible for setting up and managing databases to store information related to the website.
∎ Testing and debugging: He/She will be responsible for testing the website to ensure that it is functioning properly, identifying, and fixing bugs, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
∎ Collaborating with all Division/Units of IWM: He/She will be responsible for collaborating with other Division/Units to understand their needs, discussing design and functionality requirements, and providing progress reports.
∎ Provide training on updating and maintaining website: He/She will train IWM nominated staff to operate, maintain and update the website.
∎ Implementing SEO: He/She will be responsible for implementing search engine optimization techniques to improve the website's visibility on search engines.
∎ Troubleshooting: He/She will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues related to the website, including server problems, security issues, and other technical problems for one year
∎ Overall, your job responsibilities as a freelance web developer will involve designing, developing, testing, and deploying the website for IWM, as well as collaborating with other Divisions/Units to understand their needs and provide technical support as needed.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 4 years of working experiences as freelance web developer with successful completion of minimum three projects
∎ Should have expertise on JavaScript, HTML, CSS
∎ Should have experience on hosting site on both linux or Windows production server with SSL implementation.
∎ Experiences in providing services to GoB or Large Corporate organization as Freelance web developer will get the preferences.
∎ Preferred frameworks: Development Platform would be PHP Laravel/NodeJS/Django
∎ Ability to create responsive designs: Responsive web design is critical in today's digital landscape. You should be able to create websites that look great on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
∎ Problem-solving skills: You need to be able to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and effectively.
∎ Strong communication skills: You need to be able to explain technical concepts in a way that non-technical people can understand.
∎ Time management skills: You need to be able to manage your time effectively to ensure that you meet deadlines and deliver quality work.
∎ Attention to detail: You need to have a keen eye for detail and be able to catch errors before they become problems.
∎ Programming Skill - Java, PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
∎ Database Skills- MySQL, PostgreSQL
∎ Server Application - Apache, Nginx; experiences of hosting in production server on linux.
Salary:
∎ Product based lumpsum amount (you need to propose). Negotiation will be made with the selected one.
