Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Social Science (MSS)
∎ • Minimum Master’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Agribusiness/Social Sciences or equivalent degree.
∎ Skills Required: Agriculture/ Forestry

Job Context:
∎ • 3 years of FOOD SECURITY & LIVELIHOODS program management experience;
∎ • Experience in Emergency FOOD SECURITY & LIVELIHOODS project management is a must.
∎ • Good knowledge of security management in humanitarian contexts;
∎ • Keep strong coordination with other implementing agencies, donors and local governmental authorities at field level;
∎ • Budget management and excellent computer skills.
∎ • English skills (written, spoken and reading).
∎ • Willingness to accept frequent field missions;
∎ • Ability to establish collaborative relationships with staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders;
∎ • Strong attitude to take initiative, work autonomously and achieve results effectively;
∎ • Flexibility and Stress-management;
∎ • Respect of Donor and BGS mission and values.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ • To coordinate the implementation of food security and livelihood projects/interventions and link World Vision
∎ • To plan and follow the activities of the project with the team such as field assessments, market price monitoring, and distribution of livelihood inputs (agricultural seeds & tools), implementation of trainings for food production and development for livelihood activities.
∎ • Ensure that project activities and outputs are implemented in a timely manner.
∎ • To technically mentor and supervise as well as carry out Staff performance
∎ • Ensure high quality reports are submitted in a timely manner and work closely with the project Coordinator to ensure reports meet donor requirements.
∎ • Responsible for monitoring the impact of the project, support decision making and promote learning through documentation of best practices and follow up of necessary adjustment (Change management).
∎ • Involve and inform communities and community leaders about the activities.
∎ • Annual operational plans into weekly, monthly and quarterly implementation plans.
∎ • Ensure that procurement, development and distribution of materials and equipment
∎ • are timely and according to procedures.
∎ • Sensitization community people and other stakeholders about project goal, objectives, beneficiary targeting criteria, duration of project etc.
∎ • Assist to cash assistance in community selection, beneficiary selection and registration, preparing beneficiary database, and verification of beneficiaries.
∎ • Arrange training for the staffs, volunteers, community Facilitators and workers.
∎ • Identify and assess the cash feasibility and risk assessments
∎ • Conduct market assessment, need assessment, market monitoring etc.
∎ • Assist M&E team in collecting data from the field and preparing reports
∎ • Attend meetings with donors, related clusters, and team
∎ • Assist Project coordinator to manage and implement project activities on timely.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ • Minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience and at least 3 years with a humanitarian programs in Livelihood and Food Security Project Implementation.
∎ • Agriculture / Food Securities / Nutrition / Disaster Risk Reduction related experiences will be given preference.
