∎ LAMB is a well-run major mission Hospital, Community Health Development, Training and Research organization. Services cover more than 6.3 million people in North West Bangladesh.
∎ There is a vacancy for the following contractual position for the Elimination of Genital Fistula by Capturing, Treating, Rehabilitating and Reintegrating in Bangladesh (FRRei) Project funded by UNFPA as follows;
∎ Job Summary: Ensure the successful implementation of the project within the planned budget and achieve a transparent financial statement throughout financial transaction, procurement, store management, record keeping and reporting. Responsible for the budget controlling within designed proposal and provide administrative support to the supervisor for its smooth operation.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ • To provide support to the Project Manager with project budget preparation and revision with all UNFPA project.
∎ • Ensure accuracy of all transaction entries according to budget allocations.
∎ • To monitor the cash flow and work with Project Manager for fund request as needed.
∎ • Ensure the presence of appropriate internal financial controls for project, and the adequacy of compliance.
∎ • Provide accounting and finance knowledge for problem solving.
∎ • Ensure meticulous and accuracy of check writing.
∎ • Ensure meticulous checking of all bank transfers including issuing of fund transfer letters to the bank.
∎ • Ensure meticulous and accuracy of keeping both cash and bank book registers
∎ • Provide significant attention and ensuring all compliance issues are earnestly met for meeting the government laws and regulations with regards to VAT and Tax.
∎ • Strong understanding and ability to work with VAT and Tax, prepare suppliers VAT and Tax summary and challan and VAT and Tax report.
∎ • Ensure the accuracy of project staff payroll sheet on a timely manner including all kinds of benefits where applicable.
∎ • Ensure accuracy of staff final payment working closely with the Finance Officer - Department and the Personnel department
∎ • Ensure accuracy of financial reporting as required and meeting reporting deadlines.
∎ • Provide support to ensure that the stock and assets are updated through the asset identification and register.
∎ • Work closely together with Project Manager, for the process of Project Implementation Plan (PIP) and accounts procedure.
∎ • Work closely together with Project Manager and/or Director, for the process of accounts procedure.
∎ • Provide support to ensure accuracy of financial reports as required (monthly closing, quarterly closing and yearly closing) and meeting reporting deadlines.
∎ • Understanding and ability to work with the financial management system of LAMB.
∎ • Ensure and support Finance and Accounts Officer - Project and Finance Manager - Project to improve financial controls and procedures.
∎ • To participate in weekly and/or monthly project meeting and fully engage in discussions and decision-making processes.
∎ • To participate in monthly project finance meeting and fully engage in discussions and decision-making processes.
∎ • To provide support to the Finance Officer and Manager - Project for monitoring review/audit by partner and/or donor.
∎ • To provide support to the Finance Officer and Manager - Project for project external auditing meeting the requirements of the government, donors, partners and LAMB.
∎ • To provide support to the Internal Auditors for internal auditing.
∎ • To ensure and support the Finance Managers that the finance department runs smoothly at all times
∎ • Any other duties as required by the Finance Manager - Project and the Finance Director.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Should have 5 years experience at national/international NGO in Finance. Experience with financial accounting software. Able to use MS Word, Exel, Accounting software, able to speak and write in English.

Salary:
∎ Around Tk. 40,000 -43,000 per month gross.
