Job Responsibilities:
∎ Field Organizer - Ultra Poor Graduation will responsible for implementation of Union level activities and reportable to Field Supervisor- Ultra Poor Graduation.
∎ Key responsibilities of Field Organizer- Ultra Poor Graduation are -
∎ Assist to select the ultra-poor graduation participants of Nobo Jatra program
∎ Mobilize and raise awareness of the community leaders or Village Development Committee (VDC) members on savings group process
∎ Mobilize ultra-poor graduation participant and form savings group
∎ Facilitate training and refreshers for the group members according to the World Vision Savings group guide
∎ Support to the group to operate the savings group activities
∎ Train the group to operate the savings group independently
∎ Select and guide and supervise the Community Agents (VAs)
∎ Gather data of Savings Group and monitor the group activities
∎ Preparation of periodic operational plans and progress reports
∎ Support to select IGA and complete the business plan of the participants
∎ Engage with the IGA skill training to prepare their IGA implementation plan
∎ Purchase committee formation as per operation guideline of graduation program
∎ Develop inputs procurement plan of each participants against their business plan
∎ Assist participants and procurement committee to procure IGA inputs
∎ Provide technical support to establish IGA
∎ Visit households and follow up the IGA activities
∎ Support the participants to keep their income and expenditure record of the IGA (s) in the record book
∎ Create access and develop linkage with Local Service Provider (LSP), supplier, buyer and local markets
∎ Work jointly with other staffs of graduation components at union level to achieve the graduation target
∎ Coordinate with other Nobo Jatra components staff, financial institutes, Government and NGO staff at union level
∎ Tracking the graduation criteria at household level and support to achieve the criteria through household visit
∎ Job location: Any Union of Shyamnagor & Kaliganj Upazila under Satkhira District and Dacope & Koyra Upazila under Khulna District
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 02 years relevant job experience. Experience on Food Security, Gender, Equity & Women Empowerment related project or USAID funded project implementation will be added advantage.
∎ Living in the local community is preferred
∎ Willingness and commitment to work closely with ultra-poor participants
∎ Concept on Savings and loan activities of farmer group
∎ Experience preferred in livelihood development program
∎ Require planning and implementation skill
∎ Able to mobilize community and to facilitate group session
∎ Positive attitude to work in a team and reputation for integrity
∎ Respected by local people and leaders and known to be conscientious
∎ Able to ride bicycle at the rural and coastal area.
