∎ Muslim Hands International, Bangladesh is registered with the Bureau of NGO Affairs working in different sectors i.e. education, WASH, health, livelihood, child protection, poverty alleviation and disaster relief program since 1995. Our donor Muslim Hands UK is an international relief and development NGO, established in 1993 working both directly and with partners in over forty countries, carrying out short and long-term projects in emergency relief, educational and vocational training, orphan sponsorship, medical care and safe water.
∎ Objectives: The Field Monitor will visit and verify all the projects implemented by Muslim Hands in Bangladesh during the year 2022. The primary goal is to assess the existence, progress, effectiveness, sustainability, and impact of the projects in line with the organization`s objectives. Considering the intensity of field visits, hardship and interactions with stakeholders, this position is only for male candidates. The Field Monitor will be engaged by the focal person in Bangladesh through head hunting. The final selection of the Field Monitor will be done by the Global Operations Development Department.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Selection: The Field Monitor will provide a detailed report developed on a 100% sample size of projects as agreed with the management. While doing so, the Field Monitor, with the advice of the MEAL Coordinator and the management will exclude the projects already visited and Field Monitored by the organization's MEAL Coordinator or the projects audited by the KPMG, recently.
∎ Planning and Preparation: The Field Monitor will familiarize himself with the project proposals, objectives, and expected outcomes. He will develop a monitoring plan, including a schedule for site visits and meetings with beneficiaries and stakeholders. He will also coordinate with the MH team in Bangladesh to obtain relevant project documents, reports, and data.
∎ Data Analysis and Reporting: The Field Monitor will use a standard Field Monitoring checklist in the light of these ToRs and implement it after approval by MH management. The Field Monitor will analyse the collected data, observations, and feedback to assess the overall performance and impact of the projects. The Field Monitor will produce a comprehensive Field Monitoring report, highlighting key findings, achievements, challenges, and recommendations. He will share the reports with the MH management within a specified timeframe. As part of the report, the Field Monitor will provide clear and actionable recommendations to improve project implementation, management, and sustainability.
∎ Methodology: The Field Monitor will be mandated to conduct on-site visits to project locations, ensuring coverage of the selected projects. He will assess the existence and progress of project implementation against the approved work plans, timelines, and budgets as stated in the approved project proposal. The Field Monitor will be responsible to verify the utilization of project resources and assess their adequacy and effectiveness. In addition, the Field Monitor will review project documentation, including financial records, procurement processes, and reporting mechanisms. Furthermore, the Field Monitor will interview project staff, beneficiaries, and relevant stakeholders to gather feedback on project activities, outputs, and outcomes. The Field Monitor will also evaluate the quality and impact of project interventions, identifying successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
∎ Compliance and Accountability: The assignment will also appraise the projects for adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and other organizational requirements during project implementation. In this process, the Field Monitor will assess the effectiveness of internal control mechanisms and risk management processes. The Field Monitor will verify the accuracy and transparency of financial reporting, including fund disbursements and expenditure documentation. The assignment will also include the identification of any instances of fraud, corruption, or mismanagement and make it part of the report.
∎ Deliverables:
∎ Preparation of a Field Monitoring work plan.
∎ Development of a Field Monitoring checklist/template and finalization as per feedback.
∎ Field visits of all the target project sites.
∎ Meetings with the beneficiaries of every project.
∎ A comprehensive Field Monitoring report on an agreed template.
∎ Submission of a draft report and a PowerPoint presentation to the UK SMT.
∎ Incorporation of the feedback and submission of a final report.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Must have at least five years' field experience in data collection, analysis, consolidation and reporting by having engaged in project Field Monitoring, survey, study, evaluation, etc.
∎ Must have knowledge and skill using KOBO tool kit
∎ Must have knowledge and skill in family and community interview using various tools and material.
∎ Must be fit to work in the field most of the time of this assignment.
∎ Need to travel different areas of the country.
∎ Need to stay at Upazila and District level during field exercise.
∎ Prefers male candidate due to extensive travel in the different areas of the country
∎ Language: Fluency in verbal and written English is mandatory.
∎ Other Qualifications: Interpersonal relationship, working in team approach. Coping with work pressure and managing multi-tasks assignment as and when is necessary
Salary:
∎ Net 60,000 BDT per month. A lump sum amount for field work will be decided in consultation with the selected candidate for the entire period of assignment.
