Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Apparel Manufacturing, or a related discipline from any reputed university.

• Preferably Proven technical expertise in woven items.

• Strong understanding of QA standards and inspection procedures.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to manage external factory management.

• Ability to work under pressure and travel frequently.

Subcontract Quality Assurance & Supplier Quality Follow-up:

• Monitor and ensure quality throughout the outsourced production process, from fabric to final poly packing, as per Sailor quality standards.

• Regularly follow up with Subcontract suppliers/factories regarding fabric, trims, accessories, tech pack, cutting, sewing, finishing and packing quality

• Conduct regular supplier visits and in-process quality inspections to identify defects and ensure timely corrective actions.

• Ensure pre production (PP) meetings are conducted at supplier factories with proper quality guidelines.

• Ensure all value addition work (Print, Embroidery, Karchupi, wash) quality inspections are performed correctly and output quality is met Sailor standard.

• Ensure compliance with the company's quality policy and industry standards.

Process Improvement:

• Identify quality gaps in the Subcontract production process and recommend practical improvement actions

• Contribute to the development and improvement of Subcontract quality checklists, inspection procedures and quality standards.

• Promote Right First Time (RFT) and defect prevention practices at supplier factories.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with Suppliers, Production, IE & Planning, Merchandising, MCD and other relevant departments to ensure smooth quality-controlled production.

• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues without compromising delivery requirements.

• Assist in the training of QC team members on inspection procedures and quality standards.

QMS Development and Implementation:

• Ensure Subcontract suppliers follow applicable Sailor Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

• Prepare audit/inspection reports and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

• Ensure quality records, inspection reports and supplier documents are properly maintained and preserved.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Collect and analyze Subcontract quality data including defect %, rejection %, rework %, DHU, Internal Audit and inspection results.

• Prepare regular quality reports for management, highlighting key quality metrics, findings, and recommendations.

• Utilize quality data to drive proactive supplier development and defect reduction initiatives.
