Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Requirements Analysis: Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data integration requirements. Translating business requirements into technical specifications for SSIS packages.
∎ SSIS Package Design: Designing SSIS packages to extract data from source systems, transform it, and load it into destination systems. Creating workflows and tasks to handle data transformations and manipulations.
∎ Data Extraction: Developing SSIS packages to efficiently extract data from various source systems, such as databases, flat files, or APIs. Implementing incremental or full data extraction strategies as needed.
∎ Data Transformation: Defining and implementing data transformations to convert, clean, and enrich data during the ETL process. Handling data validation and error handling within SSIS packages.
∎ Data Loading: Configuring SSIS packages to load transformed data into target databases or data warehouses. Optimizing loading processes for performance and scalability.
∎ Data Modeling: Designing and implementing data models that represent the structure of the data warehouse. Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements.
∎ Data Integration: Integrating data from various sources to create a unified and coherent view in the data warehouse. Managing data integration tools and technologies.
∎ Package Deployment and Execution: Deploying SSIS packages to production environments. Scheduling and monitoring the execution of SSIS packages to ensure timely and accurate data processing.
∎ Cloud Computing: Working on Azure Environment and Deploying SSIS packages to Azure.
∎ Metadata Management: Managing metadata to document and describe data within the data warehouse. Ensuring that metadata is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to users.
∎ Error Handling and Logging: Implementing robust error handling mechanisms within SSIS packages. Setting up logging to capture information on package execution, errors, and warnings.
∎ API Design: Designing and architecting APIs to ensure they meet scalability, performance, and security requirements. Defining the API endpoints, data formats, authentication mechanisms, and communication protocols.
∎ API Testing: Skilled in tools like Postman, evaluating functionality, security, and performance to ensure the reliability, and effectiveness of developed API
∎ Performance Optimization: Identifying and optimizing performance bottlenecks in SSIS packages. Fine-tuning package configurations and settings for optimal ETL performance.
∎ Version Control: Managing version control for SSIS packages to ensure traceability and rollback capabilities. Collaborating with development teams to integrate SSIS packages into broader application development processes.
∎ Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for SSIS packages, including design specifications, deployment guides, and change logs. Documenting data flow diagrams and dependencies
